Luxist Giveaway: Win A Balsam Hill Christmas Tree
We had so much giving away a Balsam Hill artificial Christmas tree last year that we are doing it again. This year's tree is the Balsam Hill Colorado Mountain Spruce, a tree that features the delicate and soft True Needle tips with dense foliage that echoes the spruce trees of the Rocky Mountains. Ornament lovers take note, this tree is particularly well suited to displaying a large number of ornaments (particularly if they are 4" or less in height), because the branches and layered structure create abundant nooks and crannies to show off all of your favorite decorations. The Colorado Mountain Spruce is an exquisite addition to any Christmas home. Luxist is giving away a 7.5' Colorado Mountain Spruce from Balsam HIll. The 56-inch tree comes complete with clear lights. No wrestling with light strands, nothing to water, no need to worry about needles dropping everywhere, no bare patches to turn toward the wall and you can leave it up as long as you like without fear of drooping. Your holiday decorating couldn't be simpler. This tree retails for $799 and the company offers free shipping.

There are certainly other people who are more in need of Christmas cheer, but I will say that I want this tree because it would be the perfect addition to our livingroom come Holiday time.

We just downsized from a four-bedroom house to a one-bedroom apartment, and got rid of almost all our Christmas decorations. A beautiful new tree, artificial or no, would go a long way to making a fresh start and cherished memories.

A few years ago, both Gramma and Great-gramma passed away right before the holiday season began. Since then, the Christmas 'magic' has grown smaller and smaller...kids moving out for the first time, one of them serving overseas...need a reason to pull out the old decorations. Our sort-of-a-tree now sits on the table with a few branches missing and some wired on again. It would be nice NOT to have to unravel the light strings this year that irritates my husband so...they are beautiful trees that last and last, but affording one this year is not possible...

Every year for the last 5 years, I decorate and donate a tree for the local festival of trees auction. The money raised goes to local charities, meals on wheels, visiting nurses etc. I am older and what happens is that I usually work so hard on it, (all ornaments are homemade) that I don't really feel like decorating my own and the donation is quite an expense of money and time. 2 years ago I bought my own tree back just so I wouldn't have to decorate another for my home. I was not going to donate this year because like everyone, money is tight. This tree decorated could generate quite a bit of interest and money for the local causes.
In any event, thank you to Luxist and Balsam Hill for true holiday spirit.

There is always a lot of fighting in my house at the holidays, starting with my parents arguing over the gappy, faux pinecone-laced fake christmas tree that my dad loves and my mom hates. Having a gorgeous tree like this might start the holidays off right this year, for once.

Friends from Australia will be celebrating their very first Christmas in New York. They are staying with me for two weeks and this would be a fantastic addition to my Christmas decor.
Thanks!
