The Limited Edition Barbie Foosball Table

FAO Schwarz has the perfect gift for the ultimate Barbie lover just in time for the holidays.
The Bonzini Babyfoot Barbie Foosball Table is the most extravagant item from Mattel's limited-edition, privately commisioned, "The Plastic Collection" of carefully curated Barbie items from around the world.
Only an exclusive few of Barbie's biggest fans now have the opportunity to purchase the limited edition foosball table, as only eight tables of this type will be commissioned.
From the imagination of young french designer Chloé Ruchon, a student at Decorative Arts School in Strausburg, comes the ultra-pink Barbie foosball table. It was created in partnership with Mattel and the Bonzini group, the worldwide leader of foosball tables.
In place of the standard aluminum figurines of soccer (or "football" in Europe) players are leggy line-ups of Barbie dolls, ready for action. Both a work of art, as well as a super-glam spin on a game-room classic, the Barbie Foosball table has garnered lots of attention since its creation. After its introduction at DMY, the International Design Festival in Berlin, the Barbie foosball table started quite a buzz on the web. One was prominently featured in Paris' top boutique and others have been traveling the world exhibited in art galleries, prestigious stores and on television. Only 8 Barbie foosball Tables of this type, numbered and intended for sale will be made.
This item, which retails for $25,000, is available for special order by contacting the FAO Schwarz NYC Flagship Store at (212) 644-9400. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery (free shipping).

Do they really think men will buy this because it's Barbie-fied? Or is the target demographic the 3 women who would care to actually own their own foosball table? If it's the latter, and the company made thousands of the tables, just wait until after Christmas and you'll be able to pick one of these up for about 0.25 cents on the dollar. If it's the former, they need to make a few changes... like make the barbies playing bump & thump ball in the mud, enlarge their hooters, shorten their shorts, and make the flip handles on the side of the table look & feel like titties! Ahh haa ha! But be ready to pay full price or place bids on eBay if you make these changes because there won't be a single one left! Awww, geez. Do I know how to market for a target audience or what?

For $25k,rediculous.At the most, its worth a thousand bucks. The materials used to make it and the idea (a foosball table) are worth less than $100.F.A.O Schwartz attracts people rich enough that they dont care and will pay it.
