Terry Venables Drops the Price On His U.K. Home

Former soccer player Terry Venables has been trying to sell this one for a while. We first learned from Homes & Property UK that Venables had put the six-story home in Chelsea on the market earlier this year but now the English real estate website is reporting a major price drop.

Venables, who is developing a resort in Spain, paid £3.7 million for the Cheyne Walk building overlooking the Thames and Albert Bridge in Chelsea several years ago. He spent an estimated £2 million converting it from a six-flat building into a family home.

The Georgian townhouse has a large rear garden and a six-person elevator. The home includes seven bedrooms, a drawing room, kitchen, formal dining room and a light-filled breakfast room. It was on the market for £14.5 million but is now listed for £12.75 million.
