Sleep on a Giant Mushroom for $1,400 a Night

The Museum for Contemporary Art in Berlin has a very unique exhibit that must be experienced in a unique way. The exhibit is intended to give visitors a taste of what it would be like to experience soma, the mythical healing and enlightenment drink that was used by ancient Vedic nomads in India to access the divine. No one knows for sure what soma was made of but experts believe 'magic mushrooms,' or fly agaric mushrooms, were a likely ingredient and so the installation features a floating hotel room where guests can spend the night suspended over a large 'shroom-shaped platform.
Besides re-enacting a soma experience artist and creator Carsten Hoeller also aims to explore how to achieve enlightenment and the roles science and myth play in our society. The exhibit will be open November 5th through February 6th for $1400/night.

Reason #1 I can't stand articles listed through AOL: No one ever proof reads ANYTHING. Aren't you guys getting paid? Nothing pisses me off like grammar and spelling mistakes by people who are PAID to be good at grammar and spelling.
"...the mythical healing and enlightenment drink that was used by ancient Velic nomads in India to access the divine."
Velic relates to the velic closure of the nose, you're looking for VEDIC nomads. Being how important, popular, and well respected the Vedas are it's something that should've been noticed or double checked if you didn't know. For those who aren't familiar with the culture, it's like referring to the Hebrew 'Torragh' in an article on the same website.

The copy I am reading say Vedic, not velic, but I agree with you. I have a BA in English and I really detest people who cannot spell or speak with grammatical accuracy when that is something for which they are being paid!

About the article itself: Poorly written with little or no research or editing. About the "beds"...Expensive, pretentious CRAP based on unsubstantiated speculation.
