Kim Kardashian Refused $1 Million Dollar Birthday Cake
Kim Kardashian spent last week traveling from birthday party to birthday party in celebration of her 30th birthday on Thursday and after accepting who knows how many gifts and cakes from friends and family she drew the line and refused a $1 million jewel-encrusted birthday cake that was meant to be a surprise during her appearance at GLO Nightclub in Westbury, NY. The cake was never delivered as Kim found out and had it canceled beforehand. Later Kim explained on her blog "Making a million dollar birthday cake is just ridiculous! I'd rather they give me a cupcake and donate the rest of the money to the homeless!" She also wrote "I would never allow anyone to spend that much money on a cake."

Good for Kim! This is a woman who loves luxury but knows when to draw the line. A million dollar birthday cake is ludicrous.

GLO representative Danielle Orsino responded by saying "It's a shame that she couldn't just enjoy it for what it is, a record-breaking diamond-encrusted cake gifted her, a lover of diamonds."
Bad for GLO. Hopefully Orsino is not their official spokesperson, because gaffes like that in this economy can hurt your business.
