Wrap Your Car in Hello Kitty
Sanrio, the company that produces the Hello Kitty line, has just released a car customization package for Smart ForTwo vehicles that start at $1,700 for full wraps and $550 if you can contain your feline craving to just the two door panels. It's the latest entry by Hello Kitty in the adult product market. There are Hello Kitty wines, adult clothing and kitchen appliances. In fact, there may be a Hello Kitty everything.
The electric car is available in five trim levels ranging from $11,990 to $20,990, plus taxes, title, registration, destination charge and other dealer fees.
The Hello Kitty customization package may be ordered immediately and can be applied on both new and existing vehicles. It must be ordered through SmartUSA dealerships. The Hello Kitty Smart ForTwo's make their official debut this weekend in San Francisco.
The Smart ForTwo's captured reviewers hearts because of its adorableness and great gas mileage. The car is only about five feet wide and is, by far, the smallest mainstream car sold in the U.S. It's great for squeezing into small parking spaces, although a few reviewers did cite a sluggish gearshift.
