AC/DC Bassist Cliff Williams Lists Two Homes

AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams is selling two of his properties. The Wall Street Journal reports that Williams has listed his Savannah, Georgia townhouse and a Fort Myers, Florida home. The Georgia townhouse is a restored home that was originally built in 1872. Williams and his wife bought the home in 2006 for $1.5 million to stay there while they visited their son who attended college in the area. They spent over a year renovating the four-bedroom home and added an English pub-style bar. The three-story townhouse has a side garden and a carriage house with two bedrooms. There are five garage spaces. This home is listed at $1.95 million.
The couple is also selling a four-bedroom home in Fort Myers, Florida. That home is a two-story Mediterranean-style home with a courtyard in Edgewater of Gulf Harbour. This home has a outdoor kitchen with gas grill and bonus soundproof music studio/exercise/hobby room over garage. The courtyard lanai includes a woodburning fireplace with a gas starter and the pool is screened in. The home is prepared for storm season with a whole house backup generator with 500 gallon propane tank, as well as new impact windows. It is listed at $1.375 million and the listing says that the furniture can also be purchased.

Haven't these people have of the housing collapse..They bought a house in 2006 and expect to sell it for more in 2010..Good luck with that!!

I think they should give the Florida house to me, as I do not own any home, they have more homes than they need. It is as easy for a rich man to get into heaven as it is to get a camel through the eye of a needle. Would be nice to see what it feels like to own a home. I never will in my lifetime.

Never heard of the couple but good luck getting your $$ out of that house.

Nice house but I hate that orange and brown paint on the walls.

why do rich people have such ulgy looking stuff??

The more important amenity might be the bars on the windows.

Hey, AC/DC is awesome. I would love to buy your home. The but comes next, I'm broke, just to be a name dropper.. The best to you and the sale/or not.

WOW! Pretty classy dig's! I thought he was Australian? Maybe his wife is American? ClifF Williams is the bass player for one of the most successfull rock and roll bands of ALL TIME who's album Back in Black is the second best selling album of ALL TIME only being surpassed by Thriller.
ListWithHerb Oct 19th 2010 6:01PM
I believe THRILLER is Number 1 selling album of all time....followed by EAGLES Hotel California. I doubt that Back In Black is close to those two in sales. AWESOME album...But not as BIG as Thriller or Hotel California.

He bought the developer's former Florida home in the same neighborhood earlier this year for 5.1 million dollars. The developer of Gulf Harbor was the one and same developer of W.C.I. Properties which just emerged from Chapter 11 this year.

I still owe $78,000. and 18 years on my house. So Cliff if ya sell yours could ya front me a couple payments on mine? I been buyiny your albums and going to your concerts for 20 years. Help a fan out.

Somehow I cannot picture a hard-rocking dude in AC/DC living in that stuffy Georgia home, although I will say that antique bar is kinda cool. The Florida home is much better -- some of the wall colors are a bit obnoxious, but that is easily changed.

Interesting stats. I had thought that Dark Side of the Moon was the top seller, maybe it was at one point in time. Also thought Frampton Comes Alive would be somewhere on the list. Will have to look that up. Thanks for the info!

Those aren't total albums sold worldwide, just US sales. Back In Black has sold almost 50 million, Thriller is 100 million plus.

I think Dark Side holds the record for most consecutive weeks/years on Billboard Top 100 Album Chart. Frampton Comes Alive! was huge at the time and sold over 6 million copies (US). That's why it's not on that list.
