A. Testoni Offers World's Most Expensive Men's Shoes

For the astronomical price of $38,000 per pair, Italian luxury leather goods label A. Testoni is now offering the world's most expensive men's dress shoes. Testoni, founded in Bologna in 1929 by Amedeo Testoni, painstakingly handcrafts the Moro monk-strap model in the world's finest exotic alligator skin using the techniques of Norvegese, or Norwegian construction, for durability and added water resistance. Stiched with custom-made linen twine, the shoes are lined with glove-soft goatskin and adorned with a rich but discreet gold and diamond buckle. To make the eye-poppingly elegant footwear Testoni also employs a second proprietary process, called the piuma rapid, which requires some 200 manual operations to complete. Each pair is made up, deconstructed, and then put back together again in a patented method that results in a shoe as light as a feather yet which guarantees protection from hot, cold and humid weather.

I couldn't afford them & neither could so many people I'm close to. Doesn't mean I have to be snarky - I'm having too much fun wondering who could buy & wear these. Hopefully, it's someone who's been working hard for his wealth & doesn't want to quit doing so.

Oh my gosh ladies can you even think of what is worse then a man that spends 38,000 dollars on shoes? His temper if he stepped in dog shit or the EGO he would have telling everyone how much his shoes are. Barf Barf

Yep, and it would probably drive like a shoe, too. LOL :)

I believe most "rich folks" earn their money honestly. A combination of luck, hard work and good decisions usually is how its done.. Then, after taxes, overhead, charity, they get to spend and save their profits. They get to leave some to their children. And this should be their right.
How they spend their money, as you said, is their business. Not everyone or even the majority of rich folks, the men, would go for this shoe. Some prefer housing, some cars, various collections, artwork, etc... A very tiny minority might go for those shoes. Someone with that much money isn't looking to impress anyone. They have it, they know they have it, anyone who knows them knows they have it. What they would be going for is the custom fit, the features, material, etc. That its rare...very few made given the time, put into making it. It may be foolish for you, but, then could you or I afford it. I am female, and have feet issues. I buy my shoes at Salvation army, but only those shoes that are super comfortable, supportive, extra cushioned. The features in those shoes, except for the crocidile material, look appealing to me. I doubt I would ever find a used pair in the Salvation Army, but if so in a female style, I would grab them up for the comfort features.
I remember a time when there was a cobbler in every neighborhood, when shoes tops and bottoms were in leather...when cobblers replaced the soles and heels of shoes and repaired the uppers. Those das are gone for the average person. Most shoes made out of country, and mass produced... cheap, semi disposible shoes..even the good ones. One doesn't have them repaired but rather throws them out. I miss those reparable shoes. I miss the quality, and also the access we all had. I can see why, for folks who can afford it, that this shoe would be
agreeable to them. And, again, if they can afford it, so be it..how they spend their own money is their right. Emagine someone telling us how to spend ours?

I like that A. Testoni shoes and love just looking and dreaming about wearing a pair. I like the fact that looking and dreaming about that shoes is free.
Marcy is right .... lavarazione a mano shoes nowadays are rare , but if it's made available in the market, commands high price. I hope someone out there, is fortunate to be able to afford and wear them. That would be awesome!
