If you're looking for the ultimate in personalized cufflinks
Cuffhim.com has got a system for you: they'll take your signature, render it in 3-D using special computer software, and then fine tune the result into a gorgeous handmade pair of
cufflinks that represent your handwritten initials so realistically they'll look like you wrote them out yourself using a gold-and-gemstone pen. Options include one initial or two, white gold, yellow gold, or platinum, and no diamonds, one diamond, or the full diamond treatment (shown above). What a great gift for the hard-to-shop-for man! And I'm hoping they start up a women's department soon because I'd love to have an "R" like the one above but on a pendant or a ring or something. Beautiful!
$900 - $4800, depending on options.

What is hand-made exactly? One sentence says they use 3D software (that's computer made last time I checked) and the next says handmade. If she uses a computer to render accurate pieces then someone literally makes the cufflinks by hand, there is no point in making them in 3D because you won't get exactly the image you approve. If handmade means someone used their hands to operate the computer/machine that makes the cufflinks prototype, then I have a letter to write to Google suggesting they stamp "hand made" wherever they put their logo. It's brilliant!

That's a great question. Our cufflinks are designed in CAD software- just like engineers design machine parts- great technology because it allows for precision. We are able to render the contours of your handwriting in exact definition. Then the milling machine creates the wax in precision as well so we don't lose the flow of your handwriting. So the designing is on the computer and the craftmanship is done by hand by our experienced jewelers- the finishing, soldering , etc.. all hand done .Not every jeweler you meet will be educated in CAD software- it allows us to show the customer a .jpeg image that is exactly what the handmade product will look like. Traditional jewelers use hand carved waxes & its difficult to envision how a blue or green wax is going to end up looking in fine gold. Thanks so much for a great comment!
