In case its not painfully obvious Luxist obtains the photos for all Estate of the Day homes from the listing agent. In this case it is LandVest which is one of the best firms around, bar none, with their marketing, in depth listing detail, quality of inventory, and diverse New England offerings.

The property remains a summer rental and the seller (Paul Brouillard and his late wife bought the island 4 years ago) intended to make this a retreat / resort for artists. It further is supposed to be self sustaining as such it has gardens, chicken coop, and other food-destined animal housing. A vineyard is on the island too. Mr. Brouillard has indicated he'd like to stay on as a caretaker of sorts for the new buyer.

The property as a rental: http://nautilusislandmaine.com/

It is certainly an amazing offering with so much land, owning the entire island, a lovely restore old mansion done tastefully, and then numerous outbuildings and entertainment options.
