Would be a shame to see it torn down, for the right price it should be sold to a buyer who would renovate it but keep the period feel. I read several years ago that a famous show biz couple (can't remember their names) bought Joan Crawford's former California home with all it's original art deco features and completely gutted and modernized it. Too bad, they had something unique and one of a kind.

Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black are the ones who renovated the former Joan Crawford home in Brentwood. Not sure if they still live there.

It makes me sick to hear the inside is "dated", and may need a "teardown" because of that! Sure the price is way out of line, but who determines the house isn't worthy of some personal remodelling without "updating"? Whims and fads are changing all the time, and theres a lot of charm in older homes that don't have the latest do-dahs. That should be up to a buyer, not a "seller"!
