Paula Deen Wants To Sell You A Mattress
What do Donald Trump and Paula Deen have in common? They are both selling mattresses through Serta. A new Facebook contest has been launched to promote Paula Deen Home by Serta mattress line. The Spice Up Your Life Contest from Serta and Paula Deen asks Facebook users to share their favorite recipes for home comfort. The grand prize winner will be selected by the Facebook community and wins a a Paula Deen Home by Serta mattress plus a trip to Deen's hometown of Savannah, Georgia. The first prize winner will receive a $500 gift card redeemable on Deen's online store. The mattress collection came out earlier this year and costs between. $799 and $1,499 for queen size.If it seems a bit far afield for a restaurant owner and Food Network star to be in the mattress business, Deen says" "The collection is all about feeling good, comfortable and getting a good night's sleep in one's home. And just like my food, I send you comfort and love from my home to yours." The contest will be open for entries through September 26. After the contest closes Serta will select three finalists per week and the public will vote for the winners among selected finalists.

I wouldn't buy anything Paula Dean has to sell. I can't stand that
phony corn pone accent. Also, she looks like she would stab you in the back in a New York minute.

Me too.She cooks good but unhealthy food and for that, shouldn't show her face (and that wig) on TV.

Sounds good, but somebody bought her shattering cookware & threw a ham & hit her right in the nose. I saw the video. I know, I know.
She surrounds herself with criminals. They stole her jewelry, both pieces of it. Oh, I know, I know.
I wanna try that Red Velvet cake with the heaping ice cream & heaping whipped cream, but it always makes me bloated. I lay there on the couch like a beached whale all bloated. Oh, I know, I know.....(ok, Al-)

My favorite recipe for home comfort is to turn off any program with Paula Deen or any of her family. Aaahhh!!!

Not only is she a PHONY, she is GREEDY.. She can't seem to get ENOUGH MONEY. She and her 2 SLOPPY LOOKING SONS are SOOOO SILLY....Once I saw one of them take the dish towel and wipe his face with it..I can only imagine what goes on in her restaurant kitchen....She sells her cookware on QVC, but it seems she can never get around to using it on her TV Show....She has to kiss every man on the lips, how ''sickening,'' is that? glen

Doesn't she have enough money already? What the hell does she know about mattresses? Give it a rest Paula. I hope shes donating some of that money to worthwhile charities.

who cares?

I have loved Paula Deen and followed her for a very long time. But lately I think she is getting into "stuff" that is just not fitt'in for her.
She has candles out at Walmart that everyone of them STINKS. Now if you are going to put your name on a candle, for heavens sake get one that has a nice smell, even if it costs more than a Walmart candle.
Now, this mattress deal....You have absolutely gone too far, Paula, on this one. I agree with Zoe Josh. Stick to the kitchen and items that associate with cooking.
I am afraid she is trying to "Build an Empire of Paula Deen" and that doesn't set too good with me. Cool it Paula! I still love you, I think.

Why bagger the lady! -- She's done nothing to you, except promote her products.
So if she cooks not to your liking - try somebody else! -- Grow up!

I used to like watching Paula, but I do find her to be a bit of a phony now-- there was an issue with the ham company she touts, and then a story about her maid - her MAID! When her show comes on, I turn the channel -- sorry Paula, you're a self-made woman, but you've gone overboard.

The nice thing about watching someone on TV is: If you don't like it/her--DON'T WATCH. Personally, I like Paula, but then again, I'm not jealous!

Give me a break..... Too much laughing at herself... and what in the world does she know about matresses.. This is just too over the top to be taken seriously, but I will not buy the brand, only because of the large amounts of money that they are paying for these rediculous endorsements....This is one customer that is not paying more for the advertising
Joan Sep 22nd 2010 10:12AM
I enjoyed and admired her in the early stages of her tv career. She has branded herself and that's ok but now is over saturated . Once she did her "Paula's Party" and acted so silly and over the top with her foolishness I have stopped watching her.....
People I know who have eaten at her "Lady and Sons" were greatly disappointed. Apparently the quality of her food has declined as well.
I heard her say she put a recipe in a cookbook she had never made.....but knew how it should go....that's when I stopped buying her cookbooks.
Stick with what you know Paula.............I wish her well however she has lost creditability with our family.
