Spring Creek Place, Estate of the Day

Another luxury estate is being auctioned off through Concierge Auctions. Today's home is in Vail Valley, Colorado and is part of the Club at Cordillera in the Vail Valley. The home is more than 11,000 square feet and was once listed at $9.5 million. It is being sold absolute and will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. The September 30 sale is being conducted in cooperation with Suzi Apple of Gateway Land & Development.
"The Club at Cordillera is a crown jewel of the coveted Vail Valley – offering the utmost in luxurious amenities amidst secluded exclusivity," says Apple. "50 Spring Creek Place is one of the finest homes that has ever been built in the entire Vail Valley in my 30 year career. This auction format presents an unprecedented opportunity for any buyer interested in living the Vail lifestyle."
The home has five bedrooms and overlooks Spring Creek with the Sawatch Mountain Range in the background. The new home has custom finishes throughout with reclaimed Java limestone, stone walls, wood beam ceilings, and iron railings. There are over 1,000 square feet of stone terraces.
The Club at Cordillera has four golf courses, each with its own clubhouse. There is also fishing, a spa, indoor equestrian arena, miles of riding, hiking and Nordic ski trails, three tennis courts, five indoor and outdoor pools, four fitness facilities, a summer camp and a clubhouse for children.

Over priced ,Yes . Don't take all of that to have a nice home . Look more like a hotel / office building .

I AGREE COMPLETELY. WHO NEEDE ANYTHING THAT BIG!!! I SEE NOTHING I WOULD WANT IN THIS "HOUSE". KEEP IT SIMPLE AND LIVEABLE. THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH SPACE YOU CAN USE.

My husband and I were building a beautiful home before he suffered a stroke (34 yrs. old). This house makes ours look like an apartment. This house is definitely a dream. If I could wish for a dream to come true, I would wish to own this house (paid off of course and no property taxes :). I wish Oprah could make this happen for us ;). What an amazing dream for a lucky, privileged family.

Is your husband OK? If not I would think you would wish for his good health.

Probably the most beautiful house I will ever see-thanks for sharing it with us.
P.S. Does the pool table stay?

I like the modern decor as I live in Colorado and get tired of ranch style furnishings which are usually placed in mountain homes.

The Furniture is horrible no offense, along with the woodwork. But I guess that appeals to some people's taste.

Again where is the Pool or Hot Tub...? Bedrooms look small and cramped, I too don't care for the furnishings...All that dark wood, for that homespun type fabric. It looks like no thought was given to it, or the lady of the house did it herself. To blah. Otherwise Location is nice, the creek and woods are quaint and just like in a movie. Love the exterior. Interior needs redecorating.

Whatever happened to "If you can't say anything nice about something, don't say anything"? Being overly critical of things you can't afford just makes you look jealous.

Well, if I had been that woman on our news channel who won the 266 million, I would buy it. However, I would have Candice Olson to come in and decorate top to botrtom. Everyone is right, poorly decorated and cheap looking., but the house looks beautiful from the ourside and I can just imagine it during the winter months. Oh to be snowed in. Oh well, like this other person said, it doesn't hurt to dream. MY ex lives in Brenckenridge, I am in California, (via Hawaii).

Would if I could............totally tasteful, both in architecture, location and furnishings. Not gaudy. Absolutely exquisite.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location...but obscene ! Who needs that much of anything! You would need a road map to get around it.
DESERT MINIAC Sep 19th 2010 4:06PM
It would make a fabulous homeless shelter........all 11,000 square feet.
Fred Sep 19th 2010 4:22PM
This is a great place. However, the furnishings look strange. They are not "mountain" furnishings at all and spoil the look of it. Actually, they would look weird in almost any house, but here it's a real shame. It looks like the decorator was trying to make it look like the place was not in the Rockies. My guess is the owners, who clearly got way over their noveau riche heads had zero taste and actually liked this stuff.

I thought the home and furnishings were very beautiful and opulent.. However I could do without the gold course.. Just beautiful !

Now that is a stunning home with beautiful taste without being over the top.
