Spring Creek Place, Estate of the Day

Another luxury estate is being auctioned off through Concierge Auctions. Today's home is in Vail Valley, Colorado and is part of the Club at Cordillera in the Vail Valley. The home is more than 11,000 square feet and was once listed at $9.5 million. It is being sold absolute and will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. The September 30 sale is being conducted in cooperation with Suzi Apple of Gateway Land & Development.
"The Club at Cordillera is a crown jewel of the coveted Vail Valley – offering the utmost in luxurious amenities amidst secluded exclusivity," says Apple. "50 Spring Creek Place is one of the finest homes that has ever been built in the entire Vail Valley in my 30 year career. This auction format presents an unprecedented opportunity for any buyer interested in living the Vail lifestyle."
The home has five bedrooms and overlooks Spring Creek with the Sawatch Mountain Range in the background. The new home has custom finishes throughout with reclaimed Java limestone, stone walls, wood beam ceilings, and iron railings. There are over 1,000 square feet of stone terraces.
The Club at Cordillera has four golf courses, each with its own clubhouse. There is also fishing, a spa, indoor equestrian arena, miles of riding, hiking and Nordic ski trails, three tennis courts, five indoor and outdoor pools, four fitness facilities, a summer camp and a clubhouse for children.
The 50 Spring Creek Place auction will be held live, on-site on September 30. For more information, visit www.VailLuxuryAuction.com or call 866-818-6986.

The most expensive home I have visited is in South Barrington, IL and valued at $21 million. This home in Vail is nicer.
Will the seller take a VA loan with zero down? After all, I DID serve my country.

Nice house, but I couldn't go outside for a swim & my lady friends couldn't wear a bikini to the pool & so, even though it's an absolute bid home, I wouldn't bid on it for a dollar. Sorry, too cold, Al-

The house is gorgeous the location is spectacular but you would think for ll that fabulousness the furniture would be a little more suitable to the grand scheme of the place. the ultra modern and sleek bar stools in the kitchen are great but not for there. Everything just looked tired and cheap when it came to the decorating. They need to lose their designer and get someone with some taste in there. And all those cheezy cheap looking 4 poster beds. What up with that? The xoncept is great but you think for 9.5 mil they could make it shine inside too.

The home (estate) is lovely and the furnishings and art are atrocious! The furnishings take away from the house itself, the awful beds get in the way of admiring the beautiful ceilings, the icky, moderny furniture detracts from the house itself. Hopefully, it will be sold unfurnished!

I FIND THERE ARE WAAAAAY TOO MANY SIT DOWN PLACES BUT I GUESS WHEN YOUR RICH THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SIT AND ADMIRE THE VIEW..

Personally, I don't see the 9.5 million in this home. The vaulted high ceilings with the beams are nice, but certainly don't cost what crown, chair and base mouldings do or tray/coiffered ceilings. The floors are ok.........the marble in the bath nice..........but again overall just nothing that screams millions of dollars. There is a substantial amoung of masonry work, hardscapes etc which certainly push the value up. But seriously, did you see the lower level play room?? It looks like something out of a Toll Brothers McMansion.........big plain room barely filled with much and certainly no building value.............not even a toothpick of trim or luxurious floors. This house should bring no more than $4 million in my opinion.
Poorly done.

not wroth that much is what i keep reading here. well I don't think all these regular homes in the dc md va area are wroth the 300.000 to 1000.000 price tags.. all homes are over priced , this is nothing new that this house is over priced!

This is absolutely the most beautiful home I have ever seen. It is exactly what I have thought I would want in a home. The location is what makes it worth the price, to me. I am in my seventies and would love to just live my life out walking through this home and seeing the views from all the windows, in the winter. In the summer it would be heaven to sit on one of the outdoor terraces and enjoy all that scenery, as well. The kitchen would be a dream for family gatherings. To those who don't like the furnishings, I would just say, who cares about the furniture when you have so much more to love with this home. We can barely afford where we live now, so of course I am just "dreaming", but it doesn't cost anything to look.

that place is just like that cereal '' GRRRRRRRREEEEEEEETTTTTTT '' and everything in it would hate to see the heating bill tho. during the winter
ruth Sep 18th 2010 4:54PM
i didn't see anything cheap in this house
gopfrombama Sep 18th 2010 5:07PM
How large is the lot?
Kathy R Sep 18th 2010 5:24PM
Well, anyone wants to buy it and give it to me, I could move right in and never leave. Just the view alone is spectacular. The partys you could have with a piano player playing that baby grand would just be the best time ever! You would never lack for company if you owned a place situated in the mountains like that. Who looks at the furniture, the kitchen, the stone walls, the high open windows, my goodness, what more could you want? And if you have to worry about the electric bills, you can't afford this house. I'm ready to go!!!!!!!
DR Sep 18th 2010 5:35PM
Well, I cannot afford it, so I might as well go ahead and criticize what I could never own anyway! It is big and expensive. Certain aspects of it project that, however, I see a big, cold, not decorated well attempt at being grand. It is not warm, cozy or well planned out. Think for a second about where you would sit to relax and enjoy the house. I did not like the ceiling treatment in the bedrooms nor the furnishings. I believe with a little creativity, you could have a much more inviting, liveable home with much less square footage than this one; cheaper too!! Me, I live in a 5,500 square foot, three story house; 4 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and an inviting lower level basement/entertainment center that opens out to a patio. I've got a fire pit and a gazebo. Original price was $490,000.00 plus enhancements I have made over the last 5 years. My taxes are $3,600.00 per year. I am damn satisfied and happy as a lark!

Thel Sep 18th 2010 5:53PM
This may be a house, but I don't consider it a "home"!!! Why does anyone build such a large structure and call it a house. Hotel, perhaps?
