Porsche Sells 22,000 Panameras in One Year

What would you figure would be the top-selling Porsche? The ubiquitous 911, with all its many variants? The more cost-effective Boxster, maybe? Nope, it's the four-door Panamera. After just one year on the market, Porsche has sold over 22,000 Panameras, making it the most popular model to date.
Of those 22,518 units sold, the mid-level Panamera 4S has proven the most popular, followed the by top-of-the-line Turbo and finally the more basic V8-powered Panamera S. The six-cylinder Panamera was only introduced a few weeks ago, but has already sold 2,390 units worldwide.

Interestingly enough, I just got an email from my local Porsche dealer yesterday, offering $16,000 off all in-stock Panameras.
Saw them being used as shuttles in Germany. A bit odd since getting in and out of the rear is a bit awkward.
