Indian Billionaire to Be World's Richest Man by 2014

Forget Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Carlos Slim: in four years' time the world's richest man will be Indian commodity king Mukesh Ambani (above), Forbes predicts in a new special report on the coming decade in finance and economics. The magazine estimates that Ambani's fortune will have swelled to $62 billion by 2014, outpacing the rest of the contenders, including current world's richest man Carlos Slim who's currently worth $53.5 billion. Mexico's Slim, who's made some risky investments including a large stake in the struggling New York Times, will be "hit hard by Mexican political and financial chaos," Forbes predicts. Ambani, 53, is currently the fourth richest man in the world with a fortune of $29 billion. He is the owner of Antilia, a 27-floor building in Mumbai which includes his family's private residence of 400,000 square feet, making it the world's first billion-dollar home and the largest private home in the world.

It seems as if both spelling and punctuation are forgotten elements of the English language. Ex. (like I said v. as I said, spelt v. spelled, wood v. would, etc.). No wonder so many school children can not compose a coherent, understandable essay. (By the way, can not and cannot are interchangeable)

what if these billionaire air heads were to pool as little as one quarter of their combined wealth and gave each and every person in the USA legally one hundred thousand dollars and a extra forty grand to vets. if they are interested in stimulating things here in the USA. it is hard to imagine how every ones life would change. think off all the business that would start up, how many people would go to work. how many houses would be bought and sold. best of all the billionaire could right it off.

Tell him to read the bible
MARK 8:36 " For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul."
All these overly rich people have gifts that they should use to help their fellow man and they do not have to be ashamed to let the world know of their efforts.
ROMANS 14:12 " Every one of us shall give account of himself to GOD"

You made a lot of money, now give it away to others for free! How dare you be wealthy when there is great poverty in India! I hope the villagers come after midnight with pitchforks and torches and burn his house down! You people make me sick. This man has done very well for himself, and I applaud that. There once was a time in this country a person could become whatever they worked hard to achieve. That was when we weren't a country full of whining, lazy, dependent hoardes with a socialist mentality. But fear not, ye socialist peasants who think ye be entitled to what someone else earns without doing any work yeselves! We are headed for a socialist form of govenment faster than any movement I've seen since the fat lady heard about free donuts at the Stop 'N Go!
Take a look at the Union modus operandi. Everyone makes the same wage, everyone gets the same raise, everyone only has to do as much as the slowest, dimwittedest employee for that same money. This is the way a socialist government will work for us. Doctors and landscapers will earn the same amount of money for working the same amount of hours. It really isn't an emergency if your grass doesn't get cut today, but if you have a medical emergency, well, gee... if it sucks to be you now, just you wait until THIS happens! In a socialist society, we will all be given the same amount of food coupons and housing will all cost the same so that no one can eat anything anyone else cannot buy to eat, and nobody can live in a house anyone else cannot afford to live in. You get it... the everything equally divided regardless of anything.
Now, here's one of my big issues with socialism and the current socio-political mentality we are afflicted with: We will all have exactly the same in every single way, but most people think that means we will all be equally rich, or we'll all have a higher quality standard of living. Ahh haa ha! That's the real kicker! Yes, we'll all be in the same boat, but believe you me, it ain't gonna' be no damn yacht and we are going to have to equally row the friggin' oars! Don't believe it? That's why tourists from Russia fall down on their faces and weep when they see the choices we have at the grocery store. That's why in socialist countries female doctors, bona fide MD's, have to work as prostitutes to earn enough money to help support their families. This is why so many people in socialist socio-politial environments nearly freeze in the winter. Their "building" gets only so much heat, it is evenly distributed among apartments, and when it's gone, it's gone evenly among every apartment. It really behooves me that people think a country of 350-million people supported by the government is going to produce 350 million happy, healthy, wealthy people. It is impossible. Think ye on these things, and I'll be we all start counting pennies again... so we can have better, not just what the neighbor gets or what the government allows.
Congratulations to Mukesh Ambani for his achievements. It is not his fault there is so much poverty in India, and he alone cannot fix it, nor should he. But just because this article is limited to his wealth, that does not mean he doesn't have a generous heart and a charitable spirit. Just because you can't see what someone does doesn't mean they are doing nothing.

People like you Angela make me laugh. Yes the modus operandi in my Union is that we are all doing the same type work we all get the same pay. But what you think about our Union is gee, all we have to do is show up, sit on our fat Union butts and on Friday collect our paycheck. You and all the anti Union right think, is just because we belong to a Union we don't have to do anything for our money because we can't be fired. Believe me Angela I still have to show up for work everyday and work my butt off in order to even be around Friday when that check shows up with my name on it. If someone is not doing their job believe me they will be headed down the road, FIRED! We don't get any handouts like you and all you right wingers believe, we do actually work for what we get. We don't call it socialism but getting our fair share of the pie, not the man at the top getting their share and ours too (and hey we're not saying he shouldn't get more than us either, just not 2,000 times more). The guy at the top wouldn't be where he is without those of us at the bottom and all the way up the ladder.

How could you not help the poor people.....even just 100 dollars would help someone in his country......We either have the filthy rich ...or...the poor ....that's the way it it is getting ...the one's in between are fighting a fine line because they are one paycheck away from going under....can happen to anyone....
vickie Sep 14th 2010 11:24AM
If I was filthy rich ....I would make sure that I helped as many animals as I could ...I would first purchase a spay and neuter van with a full time vet and volunteers and spay ,neuter pets in need ...for free......that's what I would do ....and I mean it....i don't need a million dollar home......
BOB BOAZ Sep 14th 2010 11:35AM
Angela if you were speaking to me. if you are looking at it as a hand out I'm not. i want to look at it as adding fuel to a fire place to get the house warm or the economy back on track. this is about the worlds richest country back on track so the world can do the same. if you believe this is about individuals you are wrong. think of this leading to all the rest of the poor countries. i have never heard of gates or anyone else feeling sorry for giving to others. if everyone was spending these billionaires would get their money back fast and with interest.
ridiculous Sep 14th 2010 11:37AM
Greedy people who fraud and squeeze billions out of the public just to live in 400,000 sq foot residences will be the downfall of society. GREED is also the downfall of man and our whole planet & civilization will have a reckoning because of selfish hedonistic people like this man.
Sternberg Sep 14th 2010 11:52AM
Who said he defrauded anyone? He has provided paychecks for a great many people.
ridiculous Sep 14th 2010 12:17PM
Thats because few who reach his level and much, much less HAVEN'T and surely don't have an ounce of morality to eagerly inflate their riches in a poor, starved country that is in desperate need of aid. Think what you want, but you are looking awfully naive. He can shove his billions up his a 7& since it doesn't look like he's done anything significant, respectful, or newsworthy with it. 400k sq foot house is laughable. He's a joke in himself.
Sternberg Sep 14th 2010 11:47AM
Who says this guy hasn't helped the poor? How many people has he given jobs to? That alone may have lifted hundreds of thousands of persons and their families into the middle class. He made his money in commodities. That is all the groceries and physical items we need to provide roofs over our head, transportation, medicine and such. If he has taken over those markets, perhaps it is because he has found efficiencies that allow him to lower prices for the necesities of life making them more affordable for the common man.
This is a great story.
Sternberg Sep 14th 2010 11:48AM
That hedonistic man has certainly provided employment for many. Unlike Obama who promises free stuff for many.
William Bischoff Sep 14th 2010 11:50AM
The "point" in this article is that this man is fast becoming wealthier than the other "wealthy" people. His wealth is of interest to many who keep track of such things, and to those like you who like to belittle the accomplishments of others. What ever he is doing it is working for him.
If you don't think he is charitable enough, why don't you send him a "request" on behalf of some worthwhile cause?
Sternberg Sep 14th 2010 11:51AM
Who said he is not helping? He obviously provides employment for hundreds of thousands of persons.
lawmaiden Sep 14th 2010 11:55AM
He should spread some of that wealth around. Why in the world would anyone want to have that much money. Its ridiculous. Cant spend that much in a lifetime.
Sad,sad, sad.
Wonder how much of it he acquired from the US???
Dan Sep 14th 2010 12:12PM

ridiculous Sep 14th 2010 12:21PM
Anybody who selfishly wants to own the world will inadvertently create jobs. So what? He could be creating more obviously and helping those in his country.
Let me guess? you are another dope republican? Sickening. Go kiss bush's a** while you are at it.
