T.R. Knight in Los Feliz, Estate of the Day
T.R. Knight, who played George on "Grey's Anatomy" seems to have left California behind. The Wall Street Journal reported that Knight is scheduled to appear in a David Mamet play on Broadway later this month and has relocated to New York. Meanwhile, this beautiful home that he bought in 2007 for around $2.9 million is up for sale. The home is a classic stunner, built by Leona P. Woods in 1930 and given a loving renovation by Knight and his team. The 4,000-square-foot-home is on around a third of an acre near Los Angeles' Griffith Park. The home's major feature is its lovely woodwork. The home's two-level great room has vaulted wooden ceilings and a minstrels gallery. The master bedroom has a domed corbel ceiling. The abundance of wood and peaked arch doorways does give the home a bit of a churchlike feel. It would be interesting to see what Knight would have done with the decor but this place is completely bare. He has listed the home for $3.995 million. As the Real Estalker reminds us, Knight wasn't the only Grey's Anatomy cast member with a home in Los Feliz. Kate Walsh is still trying to sell the mansion she bought in 2007 for $4.75 million. That home is on the market for $4.295 million .Katherine Heigl has been trying to sell a three-bedroom home in the same area off and on for the past year or two. That home is currently off the market.

And with a view of Glendale. And Forest Lawn cemetery. Dracula would be at home there.

It would be perfect with some pug dogs running around - maybe with a butler to help attend to their wants and desires ---

Nice home. Too close to the freeway. It's located at Lowry & Shannon Rd in Los Feliz.

that is sort of overlooking the freeway but it's pretty quiet. no traffic noise from the boulevard. that black bathroom is kind of...not great.

Drab and boring. It looks like a dungeon and I agree, where is the furniture? You would think that a gay guy would have better taste. I'm gay so I can say that. It just looks very sterile and uninviting. I will say, one thing, not a bit feminine. I think it needs a real lady's touch. Yet, millions asked for it. Where's the pool? Where's the bedrooms? Kitchen is sparse. Nothing. TR, I'm afraid, you blew it,and not in a good way.

They look like pictures of the house from the realstate company when the house was up for sale. I don't know anyone that would want every inch of their house to be photographed in that way, without furniture, and showing the toilet !!!

Geez......as usual all the comments are filled with ugliness, and, apparent jealousy! Perhaps it's just not decorated yet......damn! It's gorgeous, spacious, airy, amazing views.
Agree, it needs some color, personal touch, and a little pop......but, to me, it's incredible!

Why not turn it into a wedding chapel or special events location. Yes, it should be staged with furniture but I think it would be neat to use it for an entire week end for a special celebration .

Place looks like and old Monastary and the BBQ looks like a crematorium

Love, love, love the woodwork, stairs and doors, especially in the vestibule. And the great room does have a vestry feel to it. Too bad I can't afford the interior in another house with a larger lot, much better curb appeal and privacy and someone special to share it with. I have an appointment with a "Prince" this week, and the only thing I want from him is a decent medical exam. But even though he won't be a "prince" like the one I already know ain't coming, I fully expect him to spit when he talks, have a club foot, one wandering eye and/or he won't speak English. Story of my life. Hell, I'd probably be better off consulting a veterinarian.

Not so crazy bout the owner but ya gotta admit this is a beautiful home. Some of the most beautiful woodwork i have ever seen. Why would anyone want to move?I guess the old saying still goes true . Home Is Where The Heart Is!!!

The interior of the house is magnificent, dated and charming. Perhaps it has plaster walls and ceilings, which would be very nice. It's my kind of house. However, I wonder how current the pictures are. A comparison of Google Maps street view of the exterior and the exterior shot of the front of the house in the MLS photo are vastly different. I would judge that the MLS photo is 20 or more years old. There are many clues: no overhead electric wires, stockade fence morphed into metal, bush next to the right of front steps has become a substantial tree. This kind of a house needs a substantial plot of land, not a third of an acre.

I'm pretty sure the reason there is no furniture is because he doesn't LIVE there. It if for sale. There are a bunch of homes for sale that don't have furniture in them!
