Trip Advisor Launches New Private Sale Website
Trip Advisor and Smarter Travel Media are the latest to get in on the booming private sale business, but with slightly different slant. The SniqueAway website uses Trip Advisor's substantial database of user reviews to help customers choose their getaways. The website offers only four- to five-star luxury properties that have garnered the highest reviews on Trip Advisor. The first sale is on September 20th but registration is now open. Once the window to book is live you can login to book a room in the resort of your choice at a special discounted rate. Although the press release admits that the website is "late to the party" that doesn't seem to be a concern. "We've watched and learned and now we're ready to party with the players who have proven the private sale model to be a winner," said Massimo De Nadai, General Manager for Smarter Travel Media. Other websites offering private sale travel deals include Jetsetter and Vacationist.
