Jerry Hall's Art To Be Sold At Sotheby's
Legendary supermodel Jerry Hall is selling off some of her art collection at Sotheby's London next month. Among the pieces is a nude portrait of her eight months pregnant with her son Gabriel done by Lucian Freud. The work, titled "Eight Months Gone" could bring in over £300,000 (around $460,000). Other pieces that Hall collected include art by Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and David Bailey. BBC News reports that two other Hall portraits, one by Francesco Clemente and a piece by Edward Ruscha will also be part of the sale. These pieces will be part of the Sotheby's contemporary art sale on October 15 and 16. Hall's art could fetch over £1.5 million ($2.3 million).The works will be sold on October 15-16 as part of a larger contemporary art sale. Hall was the longtime partner of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger and their daughter Georgia May Jagger now has a successful modeling career. Hall has entered a new phase of her life, doing a lot of theater work and traveling (she's currently appearing as Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate" in Perth, Australia), and decided to let some of her art go so others could enjoy it.
