Huge, Rare Emerald Up For Auction

A massive 1,040 carat emerald heads to auction this weekend on August 29 at LiveAuctioneers.com. The Polly Emerald will be offered for sale by GovernmentAuction.com. The gemstone has been appraised for $454,000 by a GIA certified appraiser. LiveAuctioneers will provide Internet live bidding for this special auction, which will consist of the lone lot selling at 6 p.m. Pacific, 9 p.m. Eastern Time. There is no reserve, the stone goes to the highest bidder. For this auction they are accepting phone bids and absentee bids with a $50,000 deposit.

I know of one green gemstone that without the inclusions is worth very little. It is the demantoid (green stone from the garnet family) from Russia. The gem has horsetail inclusions and is brilliant and sparkles like a diamond. I would LOVE to have one of those! There are so many gems that are worth far more than diamonds. Diamonds are a dime a dozen! I wouldn't waste my money on them. It's a scam I tell you, a scam! LOL! Just saying!

It is so refreshing to hear that there are still so many uneducated pompus ass know it alls out there!
The whole point of the comment was to illustrate that if you want to go forward in your life it is up to you alone!
One must cast aside ALL of the folks, such as yourself 'willi149s', who have nothing to do but attempt to negate or sully others as a feeble attempt to aswage themselves of their own self loathing.
Had you attempted to place the comment in the context of the story, it would have been obvious that I only spoke of the WORK needeed to "Get er done".
