Luxist Giveaway: Tees for Change "Practice Peace" T-Shirts
No matter what your style, there's always room in your wardrobe for a good soft t-shirt. Tees for Change is a small apparel company that creates eco-friendly shirts with positive slogans. The shirts are fair trade and made under sweatshop-free conditions from 100 percent organic cotton or a blend of 70 percent bamboo/30 percent organic cotton. The cotton is cultivated without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, good for both the environment and for the workers who grow the cotton. Sustainable bamboo is fast-growing, needs no pesticides and is 100% biodegradable. It also adds a lovely softness to cloth. The shirts currently come in five different styles: organic cotton fine jersey tees, organic cotton tanks, bamboo raglan sleeves, bamboo jersey tees and men's tees (organic cotton and bamboo/organic cotton). Tees for Change was founded by Andreea Ayers who created the company in 2007 while living in Boulder, Colorado. The company launches a new collection twice a year - in March and September.
The company has a partnership with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every tee you purchase. Trees for the Future plants trees in Asia, Latin America and Africa. Tees for Change has also donated shirts to a variety of causes.

I'm tired of hearing the nightly reports of war dead - in ALL countries. I'm not sure practicing is what we need.

A little more peace equals a little bit more silence in the house. With all of my - four siblings - running around , studying for my lecture exams is very difficult.
