Dr. Frank Ryan, Celebrity Plastic Surgeon, Dies In Malibu Car Crash
Dr. Frank Ryan, a plastic surgeon to the stars who was in the news this year for the surgeries he did on The Hills star Heidi Montag, has died in a Malibu car accident. His Jeep crashed down a cliff off of California's Pacific Coast Highway on Monday and landed on its roof. The cause of death is listed at blunt force trauma. Radar Online reports that Ryan's dog, Jill, suffered an eye injury and a paw injury in the crash. He had tweeted a photograph of his dog on a hike with him minutes before the crash. Celebrities including Janice Dickinson, Gene Simmons, Shauna Sand, Vince Neil and Adrianne Curry expressed their condolences. On her Twitter, Montag wrote tributes including " He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."
A candlelight vigil is planned for tonight at 7:30 PM at Zuma Beach on Pacific Coast Highway around 12 miles from where Dr. Ryan crashed. TMZ reports that Dr. Ryan's family and friends wanted the vigil in that area because it is close to his ranch. His nonprofit foundation, The Bony Pony Ranch, was created to help underprivileged and at-risk youth excel beyond their current situations. The Dr. Frank Ryan Foundation provided a minimum of ten leadership day camps and leadership weekend camps per year.

A better place to be sure, Ms. Montag. No more sucking fat from celluliteless celebrities, no more peeling back faces of the famous. And no more of him having to be called the “angel” that changed your life, we hope you know that’s not a compliment.

Under the tragic circumstances of his death, would it be too much to ask for you to refrain from making tacky and ignorant statements about Dr. Ryan's chosen profession? Yes, he did perform plastic surgery on some that were beautiful without it, but lest you forget that plastic surgeon's like Dr. Ryan are responsible for reconstructing and rebuilding the badly burned, scarred, or broken. Without such surgeries these victims of disfigurement might otherwise continue through life being gawked at, snickered at, and having people treat them as though they were "less than." He rebuilt many cleft lips and cleft palates and other such disfigurements in addition to his generous work with at risk youths through his charity "The Bony Pony Ranch". Just a thought.

Hello TMZ ! ! !

If you look at our site, you will see that it's tabloid writing; social commentary on the happenings of the intriguing, yet sometimes perverse reality that we live in. We're in the business of providing an alternative, witty viewpoint to our readers, and, consequently, we do come off sometimes ( a lot of the time) sounding uncaring---and sometimes we are.
In the case, are my comments tacky, maybe. But ignorant, no. It's not that I do not know about Dr. Ryan's celebrated accomplishments, or acknowledge them; but the fact is, the piece isn't about Dr. Ryan's profession, it's about Heidi Montag's reaction to his death. Is it a tragedy that someone who helped so many lost his life, absolutely. We weren't desecrating his memory in any way. Just merely pointing out the broader social outlook of how vapid and truly ignorant our current society is; case and point, Heidi Montag.
Thanks for responding; if I illicit that kind of response, I know I'm doing my job.
Cheers--
