Dr. Phil Buys $30 Million Home That Re-Creates the Alamo

Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife, Robin, have purchased a close to $30 million home in Beverly Hills that re-creates the Alamo. The home, on nearly three acres, features a formal dining room, huge entryway, library/media room, and a great room that combines the living room and kitchen. It totals 15,000 square feet and has five bedrooms, nine full baths, and two half-baths, and there's a giant fountain out front (of course). There's also a guest house above the garage with another bedroom and a full bath, as well as a pool and lighted tennis court. McGraw and his wife not long ago listed their current home for $16.5 million. The listing was with Jana Jones Duffy.

Here's a PERFECT EXAMPLE of a scam artist and just how well one can do in todays times. This chump isn't even a Doctor yet even the media still refers to him as one...what a true JOKE! Well, he's done well in the money department that's for sure! Like LOOK, take a real good LOOK at what all the money can buy that comes from people being taken advanged of in their really bad times. This guy is nothing short of a bad and cruel JOKE! If you happe tolike him well, good for you. Send him a check, I'm sure he needs something else added to his home now. He'lle ven give you some of his oh so important "advise" too! It'll be the same things you've been being told by the people who actually do care about you becuase it's just common sense! Send him your money, he'll LOVE you for it! Of course, you still wont have any advise from a doctor though, just some clown that calles himself one!!! LOL Scam artist at it finest right here folks!

Joe, I respect your right to your opinion but you might want to change your attitude and live a happier, healthier life. I'll take a chance and say you don't smile much either!

All that from a few words huh? Well, I really hate to burst your bubble but you'd be very wrong, on both accounts. I live a very happy life and I smile plenty, actually my wife says I'm not serious enough most of the time becuase I'm joking around so much. You did get me on one thing though, I could be a little healthier though, change my diet to better foods. I'll look into that, but then what would my doc have to complain about?? lol It's truly amazing what people actually THINK they know just by reading a few words someone writes...aint it? lol

Joe....before you get carried away, you need to work on your grammar...the word you are looking for is "advice" not "advise".

I find it very sad that some people are making this amount of money when hard working people who are truly doing something for humanity will never realize this outrages some of money in a lifetime.
Too bad !

For Thirty Million dollars, if the McGraws really wanted to help people, they could have built a hospital with that kind of money.
Knowone on this earth needs to live in a 15,000sf estate for just two people, knowone. The other problem I have with folks like the McGraws is that they profess to be Christians, wonderful, then show us and lead us by example.
For example, look at how Billy Graham has lived his whole life. Im just saying!
You can still live in a beautiful mansion for under $1.5 million with the kind of money they both are making so why is it that what they had still wasn't good enough?
Think about this too. If someone can spend $30 mill on a home, can you imagine the kind of $$$$$$ they are bring in? I would say easily 10 times the amount. And we have the worst economy in our country today, its going to collapse soon.
The money that they are making is coming from the general public, book sales, CD's, endorsements etc. Its not going to be forever so I hope and pray they do more than Tithe 10% at the church they attend!

I agree with some of you on buying the large home. I have seen pictures of the thome they live in now, and it is just beautiful. I too cannot imagine what 2 people need with 15,000 sq feet. Do you know how much TP it kaes for that amount of bathrooms? :) We have 3 baths, and we are always running out of TP ! Dr Phil watches his money very closely, and I don't think he would extend himself. He watches out for the bad times. Also, when you make large sums of money, if you don't spend it, you will have to pay uncle sam.....so I say spend it ! As long as you don't have to pay the payments on this home,,,mind your own business.

Well I agree. I've tried to watch the "Dr. Phil" show and if you have absolutely no frickin common sense, then he will help you. But if it wasn't for Oprah giving him his "boost" he would be a peon just like the rest of us. His show and his advice are a total joke to me since I'm a very intelligent and "street smart" person...but for those idiotic morons out there who don't know how to think for themselves, he might help them...LOLOL...this world is just not fair....no one deserves this kind of money....no matter what they do....and I mean that completely.

Dear Dr. Phil,
we watch your show sometimes. Even though I would never have my family on national TV. I do commend you, for helping those people who seek your help. You follow threw with additional outside help, as well.
Thank God we read more than watch TV, and solve our own problems. There will always be a gullable ignorant person, standing ready to line pockets and pocketbooks.

I've seen the show a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, because I needed to pick up my cable box. I do like the way he follows up with outside help for the guests, I'm not sure if he assists these folks with the costs. At any rate, he does seem to help these people, and they are probably being paid to air their problems. If I had $30 million to spend on a house would I buy this one? Probably not, but then again, there is no way on God's green earth, I would pay $30 million on a roof and walls, period.
Dear Phil have fun in your new home. Remember The Alamo, by George Strait needs to echo from the hills, while you enjoy a cold beverage, and ribs cook on the smoker.
I'm a southern lady, and something peaceful and charmingly simple, with a rose garden in the back would be fine with me.
