Chris Tucker's Short Sale Situation
It's been a rough year for Chris Tucker. Not only does he owe over $11 million in back taxes but the comedian is also set to lose a lot of money on his home in Monteverde, Florida. The Real Estalker reports that Tucker bought the five-bedroom home for $6 million in 2007 but he won't be getting anything near that now, it is currently listed as a short sale.Tucker's home is on around an acre of in the gated community of Bella Collina. The community has clubhouses, a fitness center, lakes, vineyards and a golf course. His lakefront faux Mediterranean was a former "Street of Dreams" model home and has over 8,800 square feet of space spread out over two floors. The home has some unique touches including a pirate-ship-themed home theatre complete with a mast.
The master bedroom (complete with zebra print rug) has a sitting room with a morning kitchen and a bathroom with a stained glass window. The backyard includes a patio with a barbecue center, bar, outdoor fireplace, pool and spa. It is listed for $2 million.

Its sad that people bask in the glory of someone else's misfortune.Yeah , he probably overspent and didnt pay his taxes, but hopefully he will learn from his mistake in the future. I'm sure he will bounce back. Chris, be strong and dont let the haters keep you down.

how come they just take out taxes before they pay. If you win big at the race track they do. Why not if you get paid 20 million for a movie

It is ridiculous to make comments regarding race. There have been many many entertainers that have failed to pay taxes and/or have poor money management skills. Trusting someone else to keep up with your earnings, expenses, etc is just foolhardy if you're not following up with them. Stop with the ignorant comments and stay on topic please.

Thank you! Every other comment is "HE'S BLACK! HE'S BLACK!" WTF! I don't think he is the first person in this country to get in trouble with the IRS. And I'm possitive the list of people in trouble with the IRS includes quite a few white folks (and others).

SINCE so many performers are not paying taxes and STUDIOS pay them (on 1099's) Why doesnt the IRS insist on withholding by the studio for a person that gets an individual 1099 of over 100,000.00 (Its a waste of time for Extras/Dayplayers, etc. that get 50-1000 bucks or so ... most of which goes to Acting Lessons, etc.)... The Stars would have to file taxes to get REFUNDS. Studios PAY the AGENTS of these Stars their 10% directly so this wouldnt be a big deal for Studio payroll.
This might seem abusive to these high paid Stars, however what is worse ... paying up front or going bankrupt because you spent too much and didnt put away enough money to pay your taxes?
I dont feel sorry for Tucker, Sinbad, Toni Braxton, Nick Cage, Sports Personalities, etc. but since they seem inept at saving up and paying their quarterly taxes this might help.
That said, look at the Tax Cheats in Congress .. and since many make a fortune from Book Deals, etc., all on 1099's, I doubt they will pass this type of legislation since they will be impacted.
(And for the fool that said "Ill bet Trump owes taxes ... He, like Martha Stewart, and Oprah Winfrey pay their Quarterly Taxes PROMPTLY. (They have Accountants that insure it is done)
