Chris Tucker's Short Sale Situation
It's been a rough year for Chris Tucker. Not only does he owe over $11 million in back taxes but the comedian is also set to lose a lot of money on his home in Monteverde, Florida. The Real Estalker reports that Tucker bought the five-bedroom home for $6 million in 2007 but he won't be getting anything near that now, it is currently listed as a short sale.Tucker's home is on around an acre of in the gated community of Bella Collina. The community has clubhouses, a fitness center, lakes, vineyards and a golf course. His lakefront faux Mediterranean was a former "Street of Dreams" model home and has over 8,800 square feet of space spread out over two floors. The home has some unique touches including a pirate-ship-themed home theatre complete with a mast.
The master bedroom (complete with zebra print rug) has a sitting room with a morning kitchen and a bathroom with a stained glass window. The backyard includes a patio with a barbecue center, bar, outdoor fireplace, pool and spa. It is listed for $2 million.

Waaaay outdated, pretty hideous actually and entirely too much personalized taste going on. The faux is unbelievably horrid. Pool is nice.

THEY JUST KEEP SPENDING AND SPENDING A SCREW THE GOVERMENT OF THERE SHARE,NOT SHOCKED. IT COMES EASY AND ALL THEY DO IS SPEND TILL THERE IS NO MORE. HOLLYWOOD IS JUST PLAN EVIL ITS ONE OF THE DOWNFALLS OF OUR YOUTH AND COUNTRY.

Greg Gebhardt, if you did not know this was chris's home you would not know this was a brother's home - Redneck. Why not spend YOUR tax money, why don't you do something about it.

Black or White...these are the idiots that put Obama in office...And Hollywood seems to think they can get away without paying taxes....Oh that's right, they can. Look at that idiot Wesley Snipes...He got away with it along with a long list of bleeding liberals (so called stars)
gposner29 Jul 30th 2010 8:30AM
All he has to do is make Rush Hour 12 with Jackie Chan (on medicare).
This tells you how rediculously overpaid so called actors are. This should also tell you that ANY IMBECILE can act. Acting is not brain surgery. If this imbecile can act...a wet mop can act. A fool and his money are soon parted. Tucker is the absolute blue print of what NOT to do. His family should be proud...they should be..but of course...since the money went bye bye...they're not. Have a nice day everyone & learn from this disaster.

Gee if that is true , then you must be in so many movies. Funny thing I never heard of you. Gee poor whiny people that just don't get it and try to convince others or their shortcomings are just because of their misplaced homes. Get a clue , most actors and actresses that make big money are well worth the paycheck.

Too much money too fast can get one thinking that it'll never end. That, with poor tax advice, is probably what happened to Chris. These days it seems that movies don't need to be good to make money as cable TV and netflix need content badly and we keep paying for crap!
I guess it's hard to part with 30-50% of your millions to pay taxes but that's something we all have to do. With all their money and huge earning potential you'd think these Hollywood people who get in tax trouble would gladly hire a good CPA or lawyer to keep them out of trouble. What are they thinking??? What's better: to lose everything and possibly go to jail or paying taxes? It's a no brainer! Chris is not the only star with this problem.

What is it with black entertainers and money? Sammy Davis Jr. Red Foxx, Hammer, Sinbad and now Chris Tucker. The list by the way is endless. I just pulled these guys from the top of my head. I guess if you are willing to waste money, as Chris Rock states by "putting rims on a toaster" you have no shot at accumulating wealth.
sschw68 Jul 30th 2010 10:03AM
you know this happens to a people of all races, just on different levels. What happened to Chris is the same thing that happened to the millions of americans who lost their own homes, the money you were making when you first purchased the property stops coming in, and the value of the property goes down. Chris Tucker is very funny, and if he goes on tour he can sell out venues. Not a doubt he can come back from this.

I appreciate your intelligent and positive comment. I cannot believe the negative cynical comments folk say today. The very words that come out of their mouths can certainly come back to them or a family member. It pays to watch what you say. I believe Chris will recover and come back better than before, just as many others have done.

U have made 1 of only a few intelligent comments. The current market is down for EVERY1.EVER1 has been affectd and the job market is in very bad shape 2.Black,white or green. If u put your time and talents 2 good use,u can make a comeback. He needs 2 pay his taxes and with his talent,he can make a come back.

P.S. Is this really news...What about all the people who are losing their homes do to unemployment and the economy...Now that is news... not some idiot that had it made and choose to blow it to impress his (cough cough) entourage...and dodge taxes WHICH WE ALL HAVE TO PAY...I feel so bad for him...
bob Jul 30th 2010 10:52AM
I like Chris Tucker he is so funny. It takes brains for comedy. I don't understand the black comments,so what he is black he earned his money, and Wesley Snipes got away with nothing he is going to prison.Im white and never cared if he was black. We dont even know if it was a mistake,I bet Donald Trump owes taxes.
Anyway bless you all and Chris is still a funny man.
hitchensk Jul 30th 2010 4:37PM
Sorry....Snipes came to an agreement to pay to avoid prison...Check your facts...
reallytorkedoff Aug 3rd 2010 7:47PM
Sorry, facts change. WS is out on an appeals bond, still set for prison. No deal yet.

Nice house, ugly decorating. Anyone that spends 8.8 million dollars on a house is an idiot.
Comseal Jul 30th 2010 11:58AM
We live near this area and it has been a fraud offering from the very beginning. They had people paying a million dollars for just the lot alone. It's nothing but a scam and Chris got caught up in it. I feel bad for anyone involved or "on the hook" out there.
encofr Jul 30th 2010 12:38PM
I can help any people with tax problem , like Chris.
We have huge tax credit for sale - 60% , so Chris will save 40%
