Ravenscleft, Estate of the Day

Today's estate, Ravenscleft in Seal Harbor, Maine, was named for the ravens nesting along the pink granite cliffs the home sits on. The home is on more than an acre of land with oceanfront land and perfect Maine coastal views. The Peabody and Stearns cottage was originally built in 1901 and according to the listing Theodore Roosevelt is reputed to have visited there. The home has formal living and dining rooms with fireplaces, a large master suite, gourmet kitchen, library, den, office and four bedrooms. The residence has modern details including an elevator, air conditioning and a generator for stormy weather. The property also has a two-car garage and guest house. It is listed at $10 million.
