Christie Brinkley Lists In North Haven
Christie Brinkley is selling in the Hamptons again. The supermodel has turned real estate investor, buying and fixing up homes in the area. The home she recently listed in North Haven is, according to the Wall Street Journal, part of the collection of Hamptons real estate that Brinkley has collected over the years and held on to even after her ugly divorce a couple of years ago from Hamptons architect Peter Cook. The five-bedroom home dates back to 1843. The classically-columned waterfront mansion is on a 4.5 acre lot that comes with a pool and 327 feet of beachfront. Brinkley told the WSJ that she's too busy to maintain the home especially because she is launching several new businesses. She paid $7.15 million for the house in 2004.
The North Haven house has views both of the harbor and the surrounding bay. Inside there are four fireplaces and wide-plank pine floors. There are three stories and the main floor has a living room, adjacent sitting room, formal dining room, open kitchen with soapstone and marble counters, a great room with another sitting and dining area, powder room, mud room, pantry and full bath. An oak banister staircase takes you to the second floor and four of the five bedrooms including a master bedroom suite with a separate sitting room, master bath and outdoor terrace. A third floor includes a fifth bedroom, a separate study and storage area. It is listed at $15.75 million with Jay Flagg of Prudential Douglas Elliman.
Brinkley's Tower Hill in Bridgehampton has been listed for the past three years at $30 million. Brinkley has said that she is considering taking the home off the market because she hasn't had any nibbles on the 12-bedroom home.

How on earth does she think that her place appreciated 2.6 million a year since she bought. The only way this property is worth that much is if she came with the deal I say.

Christie Brinkley has more than most women will ever have; don't cry for her and her listing. The one thing she can't have or buy is a successful relationship with a man. Boo hoo.

And she's beautiful, something most women can't buy or have.....jealous much, Lisa? I would say the answer is "yes."

Yo! Christie, Baby! Your real estate looks like it is worth more than you is, are, was or will be. Good luck you greedy little devil....

Yeah, they say what goes around comes around.
The ink on the divorce decree wasn't even dry from Billy Joel and she was getting married again.
Years later -- this fellow practically does the same to her, hah, hah

This is the epitome of what's wrong & has been wrong with real estate for the past decade. Historically,, real estate is supposed to appreciate 2 or 3% annually & even specialty properties don't have this type valuation rise. Homes are not a commodity! They are designed to be lived in as slow rate appreciable investments with a purpose! Flippers & publicly owned builders have ruined the American dream & compressed a decade's worth of growth into one greedy closing!

it's called flipping, in case you have been living under a rock for the past 20 years or so.
I say good for her.

BOBBY IS RIGHT!!! It's called greed, and it's ruining our great country. CEOs pay themselves millions each year by "restructuring" which is firing young employees with small children, and keeping others who must work 16 hour days. We don't allow child labor in our own country, but depend on it in other countries to suck in more money. Illegals are here because they could be hired below minimum wage and worked so that the rich could get richer! I remember when Americans lived by a code of ethics. What's happened to us??

ADBalch,
They don't fire young employees. They fire older ones. Young employees are much cheaper. That's why we have the ADEA.

Kathie.......Seriously?? You watch Glenn Beck and don't laugh??? Do you know your Bible?? Seriously, he doesn't. The Lord is folllowing him??? Hmmmmmmmm. No. Lucifer follows, the Lord leads. Would you like some crumpets with your dangerous tea or will you be drinking it only with the rest of us laughing over such gullibility. As to Christy's house. Nice. So is Forest Lawn. Don't want to live at either.

That is the most beautiful home!! Wonderful. I would LOVE to live in it. I hope it comes with lots of maids and several gardners and at least ONE pool boy!!

Those aren't implants. She graced the covers of Sports Illustrated many years ago, long before implants became commonplace.
As for her house, just because she lists it at $16 million doesn't mean it will sell for the asking price. In addition, she most likely made improvements to the home since she bought it. The pool area, however, needs some improvement. At present its just a rectangular box with water in it. Homes costing in the millions don't follow the same appreciation assessment that regular homes owned by us, mere mortals, follow. The home looks great with the ocean in the backyard. I can only dream of owning it.
