A Real Housewife of New Jersey's Bankruptcy Auction
Teresa Giudice one of Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey is bankrupt and her furnishings are headed to the auction block on August 22. She and her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice owe $10.85 million in debt. The couple has filed for Chapter 7 meaning that their belongings will be liquidated. The items being auctioned were in the couple's foreclosed home and seen on the show. A.J. Willner Auctions is running the auction which includes a Schaefer & Sons Grand Piano, a Wolf stainless steel range, a six-foot Satsuma temple urn, plenty of ornate furniture including both a pool table and a poker table, a suit of armor, chandeliers and sconces, framed paintings and a Sea-Doo Bombardier jet boat. The word "faux" appears frequently in the descriptions of furniture and decor.
Those interested in buying will need to have a 25 percent deposit in cash or certified funds ready at the time of successful bid and full payment is due on August 23rd. In order to attend this auction, interested bidders are required to present a $300 refundable deposit at time of registration to serve as the required deposit until a bidder's balance exceeds a $1,200 threshold. At this point bidders will be asked to increase their deposit in order to satisfy the 25 percent requirement. There is no buyer's premium.

If they get 5 cents on the dollar for that guady looking stuff --- they better consider themselves lucky to even get that much.

Maybe Danielle isn't quite the nutjob. I am in the growing majority of persons that was bankrupt/foreclosed. I carried with me my possessions that I worked/am still working at maintaining. It is hurtful, very painful, and when you lived this reality and maybe because I did NOT flaunt or pretend to be other than from hard-working, civilized, spirtual, respectful (even to enemies) clevelander (we lost LeBron but he is still our hometown unwitnessed) citizen. My lost prepared a great number behind me that falls to BE. DO. HAVE. Those are things and things can be lost and by doing better you will have what is TRULY important. Don't be mean or cruel because with all that is jumping out and around only your politicians and lawyers will legislate to taste the apple pie. GETSMARTERWETHEPEOPLE.

I have to admit that in my eyes the decor and furnishings are quiet distasteful to say the least. As for Theresa sizing herself up as a Bentley, she obviously had high self-esteem, which I doubt she will regain for many years to come. As for her husband, well, he is just a simple fool (and not an innocent bystander) to allow themselves to rack up all this debt. My feelings go out to the children because they had no idea of the financial ruin that their parents created. Sorry to say: Guidice family welcome to the real world.

Can anyone hear Denise laughing herself silly? I think it might have helped Teresa and Joe to have worked for a homeless shelter before all that spending was done.
Teresa has always seemed sweet, but I'm beginning to think she's a little more dumb than sweet. What's with these ladies spending the way they do? It's all for show. Believe it or not, there will be fans of Teresa who will feel so sorry for her that they will send her money. It's a strange world.

Who's Denise, pray tell? What show are you watching?

The chickens have come home to roost. Teresa gives Italians a bad name as do the rest of that family. "Money knows no class" as they say.
Her taste in home furnishings is a joke. What century is she living in?
Michele Jul 26th 2010 10:24PM
I still hate Danielle more!
Zawadi Jul 26th 2010 11:34PM
When I saw her pay cash for everything I knew then something was up. Who walks around with that much cash on them or in their house to pay for a dilevery. The same for the new wife on Orange County her husband pays cash for everything too.
Dont they know about bank checks or credit cards please, and when she said she can't see herself living in someone elses mess gave her hebe jebes. Thats why she had Joe have her house built.
Boy the ugly hag that thinks everyone wants her no ass dead will have a field day with this.
Anne Jul 26th 2010 10:26PM
What is the world coming to? Teresa and Joe should have worked at a homeless shelter before they spent all that money. Now, they're headed for one.
Hurry, someone! Call Liberace -- his furniture has been stolen! Teresa, you'll feel much better when all that junk is auctioned off. That 6-foot urn must have bugged Joe since it's taller than he is. Seriously, it's hard to feel sorry for these ladies who are hell-bent on outspending each other.
NOW, we can look forward to the Washington crowd with the anorexic/bulemic White House dinner crasher strutting around. What's with these ladies? It almost seems like you have to be stupid to qualify for this show.
Katwil40 Jul 26th 2010 10:31PM
I dont feel sorry for her at all...she's a TRU BITCH! now she's a broke BITCH!
Dennis Jul 26th 2010 10:35PM
I'm sorry, but I watched a couple of Episodes and then got disgusted... It is a real Insult and embarrassment to New Jersey & it's people..
Cake Boss is more fun and shows hard working Dago's..that really represent NJ..
Not the Jamoks on that NJ Housewives..
Sal Jul 27th 2010 2:15AM
Excuse me! Dago's, I don't think so. Don't you mean Italian-American's or American's of Italian desent.
Dago's, Wop's, Zip's are a NO NO.
As for Teresa, she will be working her old corner on 10th Avenue and 36th Street.
DON'T YOU LOVE IT!
addie Jul 26th 2010 10:36PM
She is disgusting, her children are fugly and her husband is a gavon! They have NO CLASS! They live WAY above their means and now they want to wipe away what they owe! How do people do this with a clear head? This show, just like the rest of these "real housewife shows" are an embarrassment to people everywhere!
Suz Jul 26th 2010 10:37PM
"faux" is a nice word for fake... which is exactly what these people are.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know you are living a fantasy, and buying crap you don't need, to impess others.

She has stated on at least one occasion that their personal house is not in foreclosure, that they had several investment properties that had failed to sell and I assume those might be the home(s) in foreclosure. Anyone can make bad investments. I am not sticking up for her but it's very easy to judge others when you don't have all the facts. They made bad decisions, that is a given - but harsh comments and judgments are silly, especially when it could be anyone this is happening to (with this economy no one is safe!)
