, now it's getting a starring role in Hum, a new organic rum-based liqueur
that is infused with ginger, cardamom, kaffir lime and dried hibiscus flowers. The 70-proof potion is a deep ruby red and has a floral scent with a spicy finish. The blend was created by a pair of mixologists, Adam Seger and Joe McCanta. Suggested recipes include serving it with tonic or a splash of soda or using it in a variety of drinks including a daiquiri, negroni, margarita or mojito. The base spirit is distilled by North Shore Distillery in Chicago. It sells for $36.
