BMW Unveils 2011 X3

It's been about ten years since BMW got into the sport-utility game with the X5. Following the introduction of its baby brother the X3, the X5 has since been replaced, and supplemented by the introduction of the X6 and X1 for an impressive array of crossover models in every shape and size. But the original X3 still soldiered on. Now BMW has revealed an all-new X3 for 2011.

The new X3 grows in size over the model it replaces, bridging the gap between the X1 and X5. As part of the package, the new X3 has undergone a significant restyling inside and out, adding the latest electronics in the process to keep the X3 on the cutting edge. Equipped as standard with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system, the 2011 X3 can be had with either 240-horsepower standard (xDrive28i) or 300hp turbocharged (xDrive35i) inline-six engines with 8-speed automatic transmission.
