$75,000 Book Contains Subject's Blood

Kraken Opus has put out some pretty lavish books but the most recent is a bit macabre. The coffee table book dedicated to Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar contains something special, a pint of his blood was mixed with paper pulp to create the signature page for the book dedicated to his career. The special page appears in 10 limited-edition copies, which cost $75,000 each and according to the WSJ, have already sold out. The Tendulkar Opus website explains that the purpose of this is that Sachin's DNA profile is actually meant to help trace his genealogy. This is the second time a Kraken Opus book has been dedicated to a single person, the first was soccer legend Diego Maradona. The Tendulkar Opus is close to 800 pages and took almost three years to complete. The book will be released next February .

Fools and foolishness.
If the world were so devoted to the Bible, the written Word, which contains the blood of Jesus Christ, the Living Word, things would be headed in a much better direction.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16,17).

The Bible was written by men, who claim that God spoke to them and told them to write this.... how do WE know these words are God's? Just because a man said so?

i read my bible every day and every day i learn something i didn't know before or forgot it so i can feel your anger. the bible is the written Word of God up until Jesus started His ministry at about the age 30. after that happened every word written in the 4 Gospels are words of Jesus Christ. after Hisdeath and ressurection He spent the next 40 days opening the apostle's senses regarding what had happened to them over the previous 3 years the sermon on the mount where the 8 beatitudes were spoken to the crowd of 5,000 men not counting women and children. which later he fed themfrom a few rolls and fish. not only that but He did it again to a smaller group of 4,000 men not counting women and children. when His 40 days were up He spoke to them saying fear not if you are ever brought to court the holy spirit will put words in your mouths then rising on a cloud he rose into the air til he could not be seen anymore. 10 days the penticost happened the Holy Spirit came down in the form of a dove and breathed on them all. suddenly they could talk and understand what people of other countries were saying and they began to teach the word of the Son of God. like 50 years later john the apostile was was arrested an sent to the island of pathmoswhere the spirit came down by his feet and started opening letters from the gospels, the teaching of paul peter and others which if read in one sitting would give you knowledge and love for the Teachereven today people send out messages to the crowd of preachers who were teaching falsehoodswithout knowing it. the angel told john to write this in perfect handwriting and john told himthe truth about the book. even todaypeople are confused by the way the words fall into the correct one today.after this Jesus took the chief rabbi's place in the synagouge and preached thatJesus had to come and rule the earth.. when the country that had a half and the otherhalf their due. gabrial the arch angel along with micael whose name means one close to God came with his legions of angels and the good were beatingtheir chests to get a better look ofthe LORD. later the angel named michael put his boot on the serpant neck and apon killing him cast him into the burningpot and cast him into hell.Jesus found the little clinging to His robe and i think i'm out of time

I ONLY HAVE ONE COMMENT - GROSS
Audrey Jul 17th 2010 8:18PM
My heart breaks when I read the comments of so many who judge instead of loving our fellow human beings. Think about it. Isn't it easier to love than to hurt?
As some are taught as children, "Say nothing at all unless it's something good."

what the **** are their people out there stupid? 75K for a book that has blood mixed with the pulp on it's way to becoming paper. i have some pumkin seeds from the headless horseman by washington irving what the town of irvington ny is named after it's just below tarrytown which is a tad below sunnydale where irving really lived. behind his home maybe a couple of hundred feet is a small open space that very few if any besides my grandpa sweeny knows where it is. in the open space grandpa used to bring home besides his satchel full of jack daniels( i know i know he used to carry remy/martin but times got tough in the 30s) but that's another story. he came home with a pocket of pumpkin seeds every halloween eve laid them on the kitchen tableand nanna #6 would yell at him. these seeds he said which most of us groaned having heard it for many years. some say his brother rueban drowned after trying to swim across the hudson river. this was before they built the tappen zee bridge in tarrytown, nyhe would tell of all the great things that could happen if these seeds were eaten. nobody wanted to eat them because some of them were all moldy so we crushed them and grinded them mixed em with a concoction of herbs and spices an sold them to local grocers who told grandpa how amazing this stuff was. he stopped in the grocer's every day as it was next to the liquor store and one year said :hey i can sell this stuff my self. so he did. there is a very limited amount left from last year which i am selling privitely to a select group for only $75,000 so if you want some you better hurry cause these washington irving pumkin seed elixer is gonna sell out in minutes. meet us at the base of the statue of liberty on labor day at 2pm. sorry checks and credit card are not accepted cash only. i gotta run see you in september

TO: UThinkICare?... just because someone is poor does NOT mean that they spend their money on pot, cigarettes, alcohol, and other white trash items. There is a HUGE difference between poor and white trash. That would be like me thinking that all rich people are educated, sophisticated, and use their money to better society. Don't know if you are rich or not, but you definately disspelled two of the three stereotypes listed above for the rich by your stupid comment.
As for the story, this man obviously knows how to part a fool from his money. Even if I had $75,000 free at the moment, I would not drop it on one book. Some people have more money than brains. I read absolutely nothing above to justify such an idiotic price tag.
