Kanye West's Egyptian Jewelry

What was that large piece of jewelry around Kanye West's neck last Sunday at the BET awards? For his comeback performance West wore one of the biggest chains we've seen yet. The thick gold chain held up a huge enameled pendant of Horus, the god of the sky, war and protection in ancient Egyptian religion. The son of Isis and Osiris, Horus was usually depicted as a falcon-headed man as he is in Kanye's necklace. West also wore a four-finger pyramid ring, the total of which are rumored to have a $300,000 price tag. He posted large pictures of the pieces on his blog. Both pieces were created by Jacob the Jeweler. West is famous for his extravagant jewelry. He has worn a jeweled Jesus and another pyramid ring before.

Proves once again, you can take Kanye out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of him.
Someone should tell him about how to act in polite society, and even at an awards show, one does NOT flaunt one's wealth. If one has wealth, one doesn't need to flaunt it, since others know one has wealth to begin with.

Kanye West isn't from the ghetto. He was born and raised in the upper-middle class. The second part of your post is irrelevant and pretty dumb.
I happen to find the jewelry hideous, but people can wear/buy whatever they want, without having to abide by ridiculous rules, such as those.

That jewelery is almost as disgusting as Kanye himself. Almost. Kanye West is a cocky, rude, and vile excuse for a human being. He's always acted as if the world owes him something. Kanye West is the real-life, walking, talking definition of hypocrite, and I wish he'd just go away already. People like him are the reason the rest of the world hates this country.

Don't know what sort of "UPPER" Middle class neighborhood he was raised in, but we didn't act like that! It was NOT socially acceptable behavior, and people who did behave like that, didn't have many friends, nor were they invited to the social gatherings.

What a joke, this joker was never "upper middle class". If he did not start out ghetto, he has ended up there. What is "upper middle" anyway?
Middle is middle. Why would luxist give space to such a joke?
