Naked Rolex! Black Out Concept Skeletonized Daytona Watch

The dial was cut away as much as possible, leaving only the hour markers, chronograph seconds scale, and subsidiary dials for the seconds and chronograph registers. They then applied peralge polish to the movement plate, and of course being Black Out Concept, gave the entire watch case and bracelet a DLC black hard coating. Cool looking? Depends on who you ask. Certainly not for first time Daytona watch owners. Black Out Concept says that this is the first time anyone has offered a skeletonized Daytona, and I am sure it will appeal to some people. Personally, I like the black Rolex concept, but I will stick with the stock dial, Rolex actually does that pretty well.

I wonder how much this is. I count only two jewels. Rolex precission and super high prices.
The line goes like this: "Congraulations son for finishing med school. Now that you have learned to feel like a g__ and think that you are one; here is a new watch for you just to show my admiration. I bought it on the streets of New York, such a bargain......"

As a Rolex afficionado and multiple owner for 20 years, I can most certainly appreciate this Daytona concept. I have my track Porsche serviced by Dave White MotorSports in Tampa who prep a good number of the Rolex race cars. These are mostly concepts also. It only makes sense.
In addition, Rolex timepieces have changes very little in the past 30 years. The Sub has virtually been left unchanged since 1955, it's about time....actually yes...it IS about time.

Ugly and impossible to read the time. Imagine trying to read it in bright sunlight. Rolex makes beautiful watches. I guess this model will appeal to collectors.

"Luxist you have an eye for Greatness!.. Thank you for the post & review."
Are you serious here? It's a ROLEX for God's sake!!!! Not like Luxist went way out on a limb here ya know. Any "eye" for greatness would be if they, Luxist were to find said greatness in something or someone unknown, THEN they would have an eye for greatness. As it stands right with this article, they just reported the obvious is all. Sorry, no "eye" here. Course, we all know it was only about you getting your plug in without offending anyone connected with this article.

Hey the quotation man is back! First your John, then Jack, now your Joe! =) You're going to run out of common names that start with "J" soon!
