From the LA Times Hot Properties:
A new 36,000-square-foot mansion has been listed in Beverly Hills at $68.5 million. It was built by C. Frederick Wehba, founder of the international real estate investment firm BentleyForbes. The French Palladian-inspired three-level house has nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. The listing with Joyce Rey is here.
--Grammy-winning musician Ziggy Marley has purchased a Los Angeles home in the Beverly Center area for more than $700,000.
--Musician and actor Ahmet Zappa has listed his Hollywood Hills contemporary for $1.165 million. The listing is here.
--Country music superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have finally sold their Beverly Hills Post Office-area home for $9.5 million. We first checked out this home in 2008 when it was listed for $14.8 million. They bought the home in 2003 for $6.2 million.

--The Santa Monica home of late film star Jean Simmons has been listed for $3.895 million. The listing is here.
--Producer and So You Think You Can Dance" judge Nigel Lythgoe listed his Hollywood Hills home in February for $2.649 million. The sale recently closed for $2.3 million.

--Louis Gonda has listed Manhattan penthouse pied-à-terre at 28 East 70th Street for $16 million. Brown Harris Stevens' agents Richard Ferrari and Drew Glick have the listing.
--Chevy Chase's former estate at 19 Lee Avenue in East Hampton is on the market for $33 million. The property is broken up into two bits, the $25 million property with a 10-bedroom main house and the adjoining one-acre property with a closer-to-the-ocean 18 Lily Pond Lane address and a "charming" 1940s four-bedroom home, plus its own pool for $8 million. Both are listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman's John Golden.

--Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and team captain Adrian Aucoin has cut the asking price of his six-bedroom house in Hinsdale to $1.995 million from $2.099 million.Aucoin paid $2.15 million in late 2005 to buy the house new. The listing is with Dawn McKenna of Coldwell Banker Residential.
--Chicago Blackhawks right wing Troy Brouwer has paid $675,000 for a three-bedroom duplex condominium unit in Roscoe Village.
--Aon Corp. Chairman Lester B. Knight has paid $3.2 million for a unit in a new luxury high-rise on the Gold Coast.
--New Orleans Saints running backs coach Bret Ingalls sold his four-bedroom, brick Georgian house in Evanston on April 23 for $660,000. He bought the home for $870,000 in 2006.

--Comedian and television-radio personality Dennis Miller has listed his Montecito, Calif., estate for $17.5 million.
Writer James Patterson has sold his Palm Beach, Fla., home for $10.3 million. He originally listed the property for $14.95 million in November.

--Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford have picked up a home in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for $1.213 million.
-- Rumer Willis bought a two-bedroom house with Los Angeles, her stepfather Ashton Kutcher is the co-owner.
--Glee's Matthew Morrison has picked up a Los Angeles home for $1.193 million.

--Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood has been trying to sell his five-bedroom Grade II-listed Cheyne Walk house for a while. It was first on the market for £6.5 million but even though he cut the price to £5.875 million in February (a loss of £1.375 million on his original 2008 purchase price) there are still no takers. Part of it is becase the home is in a state of disrepair. It was gutted but work never started on the home. The listing is here.
--Oscar-winning film director Martin Scorsese is looking for a home to rent in London while he carries out post-production work on Living In The Material World, his documentary about the late Beatle George Harrison.

--Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have been spotted doing a little real estate shopping. They were seen checking out the $19.9 million triplex penthouse at 54 Bond St.
--Katy Perry and Russell Brand continue to look for real estate. They recently visited a $9.975 million, four-bedroom, 3,468-square-foot condo in Soho Mews at 311 W. Broadway. B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling from "The Office" were also at Soho Mews checking out a $2.45 million two-bedroom.

--Former Chicago White Sox and Cubs relief pitcher Neal Cotts has sold his 15th-floor condominium unit in River North for $307,000. He paid $375,000 for the two-bedroom unit in 2003.
--Former Tribune Co. Chairman and Chief Executive Dennis FitzSimons has paid $2.625 million to buy a three-bedroom, 25th-floor unit in a condominium building on the Gold Coast.
-- Vince Vaughn has rented out his three-bedroom River North town house, for $7,000 a month.

Mike Stromberg, linebacker for the New York Jets during the team's Super Bowl-winning 1969 season, has put his Shelter Island home on the market for $1.995 million. The listing is here.
--Fashion designer Tory Burch's waterfront estate in Southampton has been lowered to $16.75 million.
