Long Island Hotel Hosts Surf Week

In the mood for a little East Coast surfing? Surf Week at the Allegria takes place at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, New York July 11 through July 16. The event is a week-long series of surf-themed special events, lessons, and more. The beachfront hotel has partnered with Red Bull and Long Island's Skudin Surf School to surf lessons for hotel guests, a surf tow out contest, 'Surf Hour' Red Bull cocktail party, and pro surfer appearances as well as a lobster bake, beach volleyball, barbecue, and beachfront movies on the hotel's boardwalk.
The week begins on Sunday night with a 'Surf Hour' cocktail party followed by Monday's surf competition and beachfront lobster bake. Tuesday brings a beachfront DJ party and tow out contest, followed by an afterparty in L'Onda Lounge. On Wednesday Chef Todd Jacobs will prepare a family barbecue on Wednesday, followed by a beachfront movie under the stars. The week rounds up with a beach barbecue and concert on Thursday featuring Alexa Ray Joel and a meet-and-greet session with pro surfers Ryan Carlson, Keali'i Mamala and Garrett McNamara on Friday, along with a custom surfboard giveaway.
