Eaton Luxe Hotel Opens In Nanqiao
The Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai recently opened its doors in the newly developed business district of Fengxian in South Shanghai, China. The hotel has 204-rooms and suites and is the first international deluxe hotel in the town of Nanqiao, which is also home to multi-national high-tech manufacturing plants. This is one of UK-based Eaton Hotels International planned10 properties to be set up in Asia in the next five years. The Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao's green features include the use of environmentally-friendly materials, organic plants and sustainable design features.
There are 180 luxe rooms, 15 corner suites, three family suites, four meeting suites, a honeymoon suite and a presidential suite which has two bedrooms, a sitting room, dining area and amazing city views. All rooms have flatscreen TV sets, DVD players, iHome stereo system and broadband Internet. Suites have a laptop docking station, work desks and easy chairs and power shower. The E-Club on level 3 of the hotel includes a lounge where complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails are served daily. It has a library stocked with newspapers, magazines and other reading materials, computer and high-speed Internet access.
Yat Tung Heen restaurant serves Cantonese dishes and a selection of authentic regional Chinese cuisine. Its main dining hall features a contemporary Chinese motif and there are 10 individual dining rooms for private groups. The more casual Metro Buffet and Grill serves international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a la carte choices. The "World Kitchen" is an open kitchen concept that showcases live food preparations while the Japanese counter presents a myriad of scrumptious Japanese delicacies. Adjacent to the Metro Buffet and Grill is the T-Bar, which is a place to watch sports while eating piping-hot pizza from Metro's pizza oven. There is also a separate lounge and a coffee bar.
The hotel also has a fitness center that is open 24 hours. The health club includes an indoor swimming pool. The Elm Spa has five treatment rooms, its own shower facility and sauna room. Grand opening hotel rates start at around $100.
