And once again British Airways and Air France, (and their respective countries) will lose money on the Concorde. Seems familiar...AirBus is losing their shirts with the A380 every day it flies. Boeing might not introduce flights of fancy like the Concorde, but they DO make a nice profit every year. Incidentally the SR-71, which is a favorite of mine, is the fastest JET aircraft. The X15, powered by rockets went about 4,600 mph. The SR-71 came from Lockheed and the X15 from North American who built the P-51.

since neither British Airways or AirFrance is involved with this new venture (according to the article), I dont think that they will be losing any money. I am not very well educated in the matters of high finance, but it seems to me that if 2 other groups are doing this together, BA and AF wouldnt be on the hook for any money. I am just going by what the article says.

You really know how to garble up your stories, don't you? Comparing airlines, with aircraft manufacturers, like on has something to do with the finances of the other.
