Luxury furniture maker/retailer
Ligne Roset has released a limited edition set of 150 Pumpkin armchairs. The "Pumpkin" chair is known for the unique look its various connected sections make. The eight "slices" roughly form the look of a pumpkin. Originally designed in 1971 for Claude and Georges Pompidou (think Pompidou Center in Paris) by Pierre Paulin, the armchair was originally a solid color. For this limited edition set, the pieces are formed using slightly different colors for a really unique and hip look. Certainly not for every room, but very inviting to sit down in if placed in the right space. It is like what a bean-bag chair would evolve into through a luxury lens. The Pumpkin chair was first publicly available in 2008 by Ligne Roset.
The Pumpkin chair is made of wool, and will be offered in two versions. There will be 150 of each, one with red wool cloth sections, and the other with blue wool cloth sections. Also important, the pieces are part of Ligne Roset's 150th anniversary. In addition to the chairs being individually numbered, they will bear a "150 years of Ligne Roset" statement on them. Available starting in June 2010, only 42 of the chairs are being reserved for the North American market. Price is $2,100 each.

It's Ligne, not Linge.
