Has Florida's $100 Million Home Already Had A Price Cut?
We've mentioned this one a couple of times since Homes of the Rich brought it to our attention but now the Palm Beach Post has a piece on a little slice of real estate hubris in Florida dubbed Versailles. The property which still shows a listing price of $100 million on real estate agent Lorraine Barrett's website might actually be a bit lower priced now. The Post says that the home has an asking price of $75 million.
The home belongs to time-share mogul David Siegel and his wife, Jacqueline. The 13-bedroom, 90,000-square-foot house on Lake Butler was started back in 2003 but is still not completed and has over another year of work necessary. Other features include a 20-car garage, bowling alley, roller rink, arcade and children's theater. The 7,200-square-foot grand hall has a sweeping staircase and a stained-glass dome.
Barret told the post that there has been interest in the property from international business executives from places such as Russia and the Middle East. Will Siegel get his price? Sure Trump sold for $100 million in Florida but that was Palm Beach and 2008, any guesses on a final sale price for this one?
