Porsche Releases New Flagship 911 GT2 RS

Looking for the new top-of-the-line from Stuttgart? Look no further, because this is it. The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS, leaked just days ago from its dealer preview, has now been officially released.
Stripped down to 3,020 pounds and boosted to 620 horsepower, the GT2 RS is a veritable rocket sled. Its 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat six has been boosted by 90 horses, encumbered by 154 fewer pounds than the GT2 on which it is based. Unlike the 911 Turbo S – Porsche's other top-of-the-line supercar – the GT2 RS drives all that power through the rear wheels exclusively. The result, if you've got the driving talent, is a 0-60 spring in 3.4 seconds, a 205 mph top speed and a devastating Nurburgring lap time of 7:18. Carbon fiber aero bits and an Alcantara micro-suede interior round out the package. Only 500 examples will be made, however, selling for $245,000 apiece.
