Richard Chamberlain in Maui, Estate of the Day
Today's oceanfront home on the island of Maui belongs to actor Richard Chamberlain. The star of 1980s minseries programs like "Shogun" and "The Thorn Birds" is a longtime Hawaii resident. According to the Wall Street Journal's Private Properties, Chamberlain spent around four years building this six-bedroom home which was completed in 2005. The home is on a gated half-acre in Wailea with more than 100 feet of beach frontage. It has a spa and screening room, a two-bedroom carriage house and a main living area which opens out to the patio. There are two master suites, a formal dining room, atrium, library, media room and chefs kitchen. The decor combines luxe minimalism with a subtle Asian theme. This home is listed at $19 million.
