Wondering what Citroen is doing in Maybach territory? You can stop wondering and start staring, because the French automaker has just released a trunk-full of high-resolution images of its latest concept car.

Sure, the Double Chevron badge may not have all the clout of the Double M – or the Flying B or Spirit of Ecstasy, for that matter – but if this is the result, maybe it's time we rethink that. Because the Metropolis is a real stunner. Set to be unveiled later this month in Shanghai, the Metropolis is Citroen's vision of what an avant-garde luxury saloon should look like, and with a 460-horsepower hybrid powertrain, what it should drive like, too.
