Al Gore Buys A Montecito Mansion

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have joined the rich and famous who call Montecito home. The LA Times reports that "Incovenient Truth" author spent $8.875 million for an oceanview home on 1.5 acres. The property includes a swimming pool, spa and fountains. Like many other homes in the area this one is a Mediterranean-style home. It has six fireplaces and five bedrooms.

A variety of celebrities live in the area which is located in California's Santa Barbara county. Many celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Rob Lowe own Montecito homes. It boasts some of California's most expensive real estate. The Gores also own a large mansion in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, Tennessee.

I think that is certainly an unfair assessment. Doctors spend most of their formative years in poverty and work hard to earn every penny they make. For your information, Washington has taken away as much as they can from the doctors and most don't earn as much as plumbers or electricians. Doctors are very consious of the enviornment and they above all understand the damage being done to our planet and the people that live here. They see the results in the patients they treat!

Global warming is not a hoax, even if Al Gore turns out to be. Global warming is going to do us all in eventually. Just because the winter was so cold this year doesn't deny the existence of global warming (which--by the way--is a predicted aspect of the global warming process). So why are all the millenia-old glaciers melting? It's not because liberals are clandestinely using blow torches at night to turn them into tap water. Global warming is not a political matter at all. It's science. But of course it's been used as a punching bag by both liberals and conservatives. If Mr. Gore turns out to be a hypocrite, that has absolutely no bearing on global warming, which will continue to move forward like a steamroller. Maybe Mr. Gore decided that it was a losing cause to try to turn things around and that it might be better to just go out in style. Or maybe his new place will have a limited carbon footprint. I mean, the conservatives are the ones always protecting the wealthy, so if Mr. Gore has the cash, then he can do with his money what he wants--and money doesn't always have to be used in bad ways. But in any case, global warming won't care about politics or wealth--it will treat us all the same! We will all pay the heavy price because by the time everyone agrees that something needs to be done, it will be too late.

I bet the home will have a huge airconditioner to protect the worlds biggest dork from GLOBAL WARMING and many square feet of lush green lawn to waste percious water and polluting fertilizer on and just maybe there will be an undocumented illegal keeping the place nice and neat. I find it interesting the anger in these posts. First, Al Gore is an idiot! All of the people who have purchased his book and gone to his expensive talks have paid for that mansion. If you are mad then stop buying into his load of crap. This is, still, a capitalist nation and anyone can make money if you are willing to work for it. Write your own book, start your own cause, sell snake oil, do whatever but get off your fat a#& and stop complaining. Run for office and get into the game. If Al Gore, the dumbest man on the planet, can be Vice President, so can you!

Since Obama has become president, he has caused a great rift between the haves and the have nots. He is telling the have nots that they are so pitiful that the haves must take care of them and everyone is buying into this nonesense. Everyone needs to get off their ever widening butts and get to work and then you may become part of the 'haves'. Obama is fast at causing a race war and class warfare in this country. This morning our paper had today's temp predicted in the low 90's--guess when the record of 96 was set? Ta-da! 1910! Duh! I wonder who will check to make sure the light bulbs, shower heads and toilets meet the requirements that are put on the rest of us. I volunteer to go and make sure this house is meeting the requirements that all other houses must live up to. What a fraud. I guess for Democrats they can make more than the rest of us. How much money is too much? I guess that depends on whether you are just an average hard working American or a hypocrite and thief. Thank God for Florida and the hanging chads. I don't think George Bush was our best president but upside Al Gore he looks pretty good.
