Al Gore Buys A Montecito Mansion

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have joined the rich and famous who call Montecito home. The LA Times reports that "Incovenient Truth" author spent $8.875 million for an oceanview home on 1.5 acres. The property includes a swimming pool, spa and fountains. Like many other homes in the area this one is a Mediterranean-style home. It has six fireplaces and five bedrooms.

A variety of celebrities live in the area which is located in California's Santa Barbara county. Many celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Rob Lowe own Montecito homes. It boasts some of California's most expensive real estate. The Gores also own a large mansion in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, Tennessee.

Al Jr is following is father's shameful legacy. Al Gore Sr. was one of the Democrat senators that led the fight against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with a fillibuster. Hypocrites, all of them!

Six fireplaces, huh? So we all get assigned a carbon footprint assessment to determine our TAX. I will not be able to afford to heat my house with my woodstove(currently my only heat on my rural property) because of that, but old Al will be sitting pretty burning a nice crackling fire just for ambiance. Of course, I could get an electric furnace only to have Obama quadruple my electric bill and grin from ear to ear while he's doing it. A whole bunch of us are barely making it and they just keep on coming with all this insanity. The gall of these people. To think how people laughed when people said the elites were turning us into a third world country. Not so funny now.

Heather, I wonder how long we can survive even at the current rates for power...my Jan. bill was over $500, followed by $450 in Feb.--this in a house with only 2 people, one of whom was in the hospital the entire month of Jan! Our power bill is 2nd only to our mortgage & if that horrible 'cap&tax' bill succeeds, I don't know what we'll do. Obama & his fellow dems seem hell bent on destroying our nation as we know it--I pray that millions are waking up to see what decades of liberal policies have done to destroy the American way-of-life & will use every ounce of their energy (pun?) to rid us of the corrupt power structure in DC that is more dangerous than Al Queda & Osama (isn't it ironic how the names Osama & Obama are identical with the exception of one letter?)

See, Mr. Gore and his Tipper-lady are so very concerned about the global warming crisis that they would NEVER buy a home that had a huge carbon footprint. They want to set an EXAMPLE to the lower classes/masses. You must all understand that.

And, for the inventor of the Internet, surely $8.8 million is a reasonable price to pay for such a home.

Really, you mustn't be upset. Al Gore would NEVER do anything except put the interest of his fellow Americans (read that what he considers the simple folk of the unwashed masses) first and foremost.

And if you believe all that, I have a swampland in the Everglades near a mating ball of escaped boas and pythons to sell you. Carbon foot-print free, of course.

Hate to think of him in my part of the world. He doesn't deserve to live in that beautiful area. The writter is probably wrong about one thing. More than likely his home is a Spanish Colonial style. That is what is in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area, not Mediterranean-style home. Isn't he afraid that when the sea levels rise that he and his home with get gobbled up by the sea? What a hypocrite! Is he going to drive his hybrid back and forth to his other home in TN or like most other "Green Global Warming hoaxsters" take his private jet?

This guy is too much for TV. Vice-President, Nobel Prize Winner, Green Czar, and let's not forget...INVENTOR OF THE INTERNET. I remember when Clinton was first elected, I saw a snippet of a video of him and Hillary, and Al and Tipper taking a tour of Mt. Vernon, and Al saw a bust on the mantle of a fireplace, and asked "Oh, who's this", and the guide said, rather incredulously, "that's George Washington". Duhhhh!!! The whole "global warming" thing is a major scam. The earth goes through warming cycles. The fact that he's just bought ANOTHER mansion, and in chichi Montecito CA, shows what kind of idiot, hypocrite he really is. But universities and institutions will hire him to speak about something he really knows NOTHING about. There's one born every minute. BTW, Obama just said that there should be a limit on how much money a person should make. WOW!!! I guess that means Congress won't be voting a pay increase this year, and that Oprah Winfrey and George Soros are gonna have to pay back some of their millions, and let's not even talk about the Church of Obamanology--Hollyweird.

My son-in-law is a meteorologist--when he was working on his Masters at Creighton Univ., one of his profs was asked about the validity of GW--he laughed & said as long as there was money to be made, gov't grants to study it, etc., it would be broadcast as real...it is indeed a scam, intended to ruin America as we know it. It's communism at its worst. And of course, our nation isn't the only one they're seeking to destroy--the whole world is in their sights & if they're not stopped, we'll all be living in the stone age, while they're enjoying a life of luxury...a bunch of lying weasels, all, & we'd better wake up & stop 'em before it's too late, & it may already be!
