Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek In San Marino, Estate of the Day
When I heard last year that long-term married actors Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford were calling it quits I knew it was only a matter of time before we had a chance to gawk at their real estate. The LA Times reports that the pair have put their San Marino estate on the market. San Marino is a small, affluent enclave near Pasadena, California. They bought the home in 2004 for $5.9 million. The Italian Renaissance Revival estate was designed in 1924 by Pasadena architect Clarence L. Jay. The home is on more than an acre of land that includes formal gardens, a swimming pool, a spa, guesthouse and additional gardens. The home went through an extensive renovation in 1996-97 at the hands of interior designer, Matthew White. There are six bedrooms total as well as a living room, dining room and a library. Some of the home's more attractive features include burnished walnut toned hardwood flooring and leaded glass windows. The Master Bedroom wing takes over the entire front of the house and includes a sleeping chamber with fireplace, two bathrooms, a large dressing room and three large tiled outdoor terraces. This home is listed at $6.7 million.

There is no doubt that this estate is absolutely georgeous - - - HOWEVER - - - it escapes me to understand why ANYONE needs so much room??? IF this was a FAMILY home with several children - - - I could see the need - - - but for only two people . . . WHAT A WASTE!!! I believe that if the people who live in oversized mansions or those who "own" several homes were to care about anyone other than their own importance - - - they would get rid of the EXCESS and give it to helping the very people who helped them gain their celebrity status. Oh, by the way - - - if you look at the pictures - - - some of the furniture is too small for the space involved - - - what a collosal WASTE!

PLUS the chandelier is hung too high and way too small for the room
Who was their decorator??

The house looks like it's being "staged" for sale. The furniture is odd looking like it doesn't really belong there. I doubt if it's original to the house. It gives a potential buyer an idea of the space. Beautiful place, too bad about the occupants.

who cares who they are, with that kind of money that there asking for that house
I could find way better ways to spend my money,
do you people realize how much more money, one would spent to mantain that house, the land, insurance taxes etc,and not been happy
they probably got tired to spent to much money on maintaining the house and finally got smart and said, hey not worth it,we work to much and don't even sleep in it,so to much of something is not ever good, nice yes but to much.
