Ryan Stiles In Encino, Estate of the Day

You may not know the name of Ryan Stiles but you'd probably recognize the face. The versatile comedic actor has had roles on sitcoms including "The Drew Carey Show" and "Two And A Half Men." The LA Times reports that Stiles has listed his Robert Byrd-designed home in Encino, California at $3.9 million. The home once belonged to Academy Award-winning makeup and special effects artist Stan Winston, who added a screening room to the two-story home. This one was built in 1976 and has some of the same qualities that we recently saw in Beau Bridges' Hidden Hills home, lots of brick and warmly golden wood. Beamed ceilings and stone fireplaces give the home a cabin-like appearance. Doors open out into a pool area that includes a large outdoor barbecue and flat grounds. In the great room the curved music loft above is matched with a curving bar in the room below. It is a home that lends itself t casual merriment. There are four family bedrooms plus a maid's suite. Love it! Just quirky enough - though get rid of the staging lady (and most but not all of the furniture). But Encino?

sick house. not to crazy about the furniture but the home itself really has some style and really feels unique. I've never seen an estate quite like that. In Miami we typically have Mediterranean homes and Spanish style home... or ultra contemporary. http://www.mayleisuen.com
