Peliku Place House Auction Results

A little earlier a reader asked for an update on some of the real estate auctions I've covered. The auction results aren't always available but one that was recently revealed was the result of the auction of the Paliku Place home in Hawaii which was auctioned off on March 8. Concierge Auctions auctioned off two properties on the island of Kauai a 6,015-square-foot ocean bluff estate on 5.79 acres and an adjacent five-acre ocean bluff lot. The estate was previously offered for $9.995 million and was being auctioned with a reserve of $2 million and a pre-sale estimate of $3 to $7 million. The five acre lot was being sold absolute (no reserve) and had a pre-auction estimate of $500,000 to $1.5 million.

The home in Kealia Kai is perched atop Paliku Point and offers ocean views. The home has three bedrooms, study, exercise room, gourmet and a large great room as well as plenty of covered lanai space and a terrace. There is also a pool and spa and a detached guest house with full bathroom, kitchen and garage. The home is secure against the weather with doors and windows rated for 80-120mph winds and a whole-house generator. Other features include a digital security system, central air conditioning and central vacuum.

The house sold for $3.1925 million to a buyer from Colorado, and the adjacent five-acre ocean bluff lot sold for $1.001 million to a buyer from California. Concierge Auctions says that there were a total of 111 interested buyer prospects from 18 U.S. states and Canada, and 17 registered bidders from seven states.
