Petanque is very French-  enjoyed throughout the country in parks.  It is not bocce!  It's distant cousin is bocce.  We Italians use colored balls and play on a straight  pit.  Petanque is played in a wider circular make shift plain...the balls are always steel and differ only by their engraved pattern.  I frankly am surpirsed that you are not able to quickly research and discern the difference. However, Luxist's suggestion is not contrary to your point: The Chanel balls are steel, as is the case with Petanque. Your argument actually supports Luxist's comment. As for Bocce versus Pentanque court geometries, you argued a point Luxist never made. You were incorrect that Luxist was not able to "quickly research and discern the difference."
