Two Houses, One Winner, Estate of the Day

We covered an auction in the Strand at Headlands development of Dana Point, California last month, now Concierge Auctions is putting two more houses up for auction on April 17 at the properties. But this auction has a twist. the homes, previously offered to $15 million, are selling bidder's choice with a reserve of $6.9 million and a pre-sale estimate of $8 million to $11 million. The high bidder will choose one of the available houses. Only one house will be sold.
Both 7 and 9 White Water Lane have ocean views and the finest amenities and finishes. 7 White Water Lane was designed by architect CJ Light and interior designer Carol McMahon and has an Eastern Seaboard Classic style. The 11,147-square-foot home includes six bedrooms, eight baths and two powder baths. The home has hand carved stone fireplaces and a gourmet kitchen with a 60-inch range, dual 36-inch refrigerator/freezer, two dishwashers, two wine keepers, a microwave and a warming drawer. The master suite has a fireplace and private terrace. Other amenities include a walk-in wine room, home theater, a game room with a bar and massage and exercise rooms.
9 White Water Lane also designed by CJ Light and Carol McMahon has a Spanish Revival style. It two has six bedrooms, eight baths and two half baths. Many of the features are similar, including hardwood floors and the latest in modern electronics. This home's amenities are nearly identical but the overall style is very different. 7 White Water Lane is light and beachy, 9 White Water used more dark wood for a more formal feel. The potential buyer wouldn't go wrong with either one but 7 White Water is the one I would choose.
The auction of 7 & 9 White Water Lane at The Strand at Headlands in Dana Point, California will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 11 am PST. The properties are available for preview daily by appointment.

9 White Water Lane, please. Both very nice-both classy and gorgeous but 9 flips my switch.

Ouch.. not the best houses I have seen here. The interior designer should consider a different career. No wonder these two houses are going under the hammer as I can only see a good overhaul for the new buyer. However if you are a football player they are perfect and cheap!
