Can VW Just give this poor American one for free? This car is Very nice. If I had the Money$$ I would buy one. Looks like there is lots of room and a big back end to put everything you would need for a trip or a camping trip. Wow love the dashboard and the DVD and where they put the stereo ,That engine looks like something from a movie... Back to the Future.. Or Star Trek . I would just love to have one.Best made cars are from other countries. I have a 10 yrs old Nissan that I just love it , never had a problem with it, and would buy Nissan or VW if I could afford a new one. When you consider the cost of repairs and maintenance the Volkswagen is now in league with the BMW, and Mercedes-Benz as a luxury vehicle. Heck, a Beemer is cheaper!

Paul

Comments on Luxist Drives the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, Loves the Silent Sound of It

If you mean it's silent coming along behind me when I'm out walking, that would be a "minus." I believe the Touareg is at the very bottom of the list for realiability and dependability. If I were to plunk down all that cash, I would expect a vehicle that is AT LEAST the equivalent of the Japanese manufacturers. Secondly, the Volkswagen dealers have a hurdle to jump to increase their low rating of customer sat. They have a very, very, bad rep.

These two things for starters would go far in making the U.S. market more acceptable to the U.S. consumers who have become more sophisticated. Just my two cents worth as an avid car fan.

tcweist1

Comments on Luxist Drives the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, Loves the Silent Sound of It

./.

tcweist1

Comments on Luxist Drives the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, Loves the Silent Sound of It

I remember when VW Bugs would "sailing" behind Semi-Trucks to get better gas miles, This SUV looks like a monster to fix it? Hope it comes with a Warranty thats covers everything but the wheels and the Oil and Gas. lol
But I still want one. Give me one free.
